Totally agree. I also used a pressure washer with foaming, then hand wash, rinse, blow dry, and microfibre for touch ups. Did that for three years with the Panamera after it was ceramic coated and never had any water spots or problems. Very easy to keep looking great!! Plan to do the same with my Dream when I finally get it.
They don’t actually do detailing anymore. Only wraps and whatnot

Same. There is a reason it’s 10k…. That is ceramic+FULL PPF+ interior

I'm doing my top in black satin. If I don't like it, I'll change to glossy black. Will see in a couple of weeks.

You can, it’s just not preferred. Touch less are better if available
The treatments are not equivalent. Ceramic gives you the glossy pop, with no real protection of the painted surface. The PPF is thicker and protects the paint surface.
