where do you see that?
where do you see that?
Seems like they needed some differentiator between the two variants other than "hardware that does nothing but might do something in the future".It’s a bummer they removed surround view monitoring from dreamdrive. My old 60k Audi had it. I don’t want to spend 9k to add it.
I see the same!

Oh I see, over here you posted it https://lucidowners.com/threads/dream-drive-versus-dream-drive-pro.483/page-2#post-17598
Description says surround view monitoring, not sure if it’s just for parking. Is this surround view the parking camera thing or is it something else?

My guess is just more profitable stuff to be sold first because it makes the most sense for the companyAt first I thought it made sense from a manufacturing simplicity viewpoint to have the Touring with GT options go first but then I saw that it didn't matter if you chose regular DD vs DD Pro. That would be a variance in what is installed or not installed. So metal roof (and/or installation process) and the head unit/speakers for the base sound system either aren't available until Q4 or Lucid just wants the most profitable versions to go first. Am PO'ed that choosing the base surreal sound will delay delivery to Q4.
Well, In that case I’m ordering the Air convertible! My guess is just more profitable stuff to be sold first because it makes the most sense for the company
Possibly also simplifying assembly. A Touring with Surreal Sound Pro and glass roof is less different from a GT than metal roof and no extra speakers. I hope that my unwillingness to buy DD Pro doesn't delay me too much...My guess is just more profitable stuff to be sold first because it makes the most sense for the company
Me too, but I can't blame Lucid for prioritizing customers who pay more. Regardless, their website now says "Q3 availability" for my build without DD Pro.Despite being an after-market option, Tesla prioritizes orders with Full Self-Driving option for delivery. I hope Lucid doesn't take a page out of that playbook.

If passed on the last day of 2022, wouldn't that mean the expanded EV tax credits for less expensive EVs are essentially retroactive? It depends on when they "make it effective". But, from my understanding, if they pass it this year, it would impact vehicles impacted this year. If they passed it and said it would go effective in 2023, then you would not be impacted. But I think the default is that it would impact 2022.
