I bought the factory weather floor mats and regret it. They don't cover the sides of the carpet, and they have become discolored over time. I have 19" wheels and have 20K miles on my car, about half with and half without the aero covers. There is a very slight range hit without the covers, but I personally don't like the look with them on, so I only put them on now when on a long trip.
It is really strange how those factory weather floor mats discolor with the slightest bit of wear. Quite disappointing.
I was originally going to put my aero covers back on for long trips, but many people on the forum wrote that when putting the covers on and off, the metal clips scratch the wheels quite a bit, AND that while they are on, swirling dirt and dust trapped within also scratches them up. Combine that with how crazy hard it can be to get those center caps off, and I figured I would never put the aero covers back on.
I have the Tuxmats as well, and will get them for my next vehicle. But Tuxmat won't have a mat that fits the 2025 Touring for another month or two due to the 2025's new mat anchoring posts. 2022-24 had flat Velcro anchors.
BB yes the aero covers are a pain. I have a pair of gloves with the tire stuff for removing them...one needs to pull so hard= keep thinking a wing will snap off.
I prefer the look of the 19" A/S wheels to the 21" Summer Aero wheels,
but
the performance difference between them is well worth having two sets of wheels/ tires if you live in snow country.
I like these wheels with the covers
@DeaneG I'm regretting the tinting....thinking about removing it...
Quick update….
I picked up the car today. All went great. The delivery guy Nick (as a reminder: Tysons Galleria in N. Virginia) was fantastic. Took his time to explain everything in details. The experience is a far cry from the “factory” zoo at the Tesla delivery center down the road, as my past two cars were Teslas picked up at the same location. Maybe understandably so as the delivery volume is NOT apples-to-apples. Nick also introduced me to the Service guy, a heavy Scottish accented dude named Graeme. No issues with the car I could notice, it was detailed very well, and the pairing process with the key fobs and my iPhone went smoothly and very fast without a hitch. That was a relief.
I went ahead and ordered the TWRAPS charging pad that @gmglass recommended (thank you). No all-weather mats in store available for purchase, so I have to figure this out later. No mobile charger in the store either. They told me I will get a voucher in the email over the next few days, then I can order one myself.
Thanks everyone for your help! Feel free to ask any questions. Hopefully I can help someone (back).
The voucher is for $650. Can be used towards either one of the two chargers. Essentially the mobile charger becomes free, and extra money would be needed (the difference) if going for the home charger
