Radar Detector Hard Wire Installation?

I'm gonna have to pick the brains of the techs as well. See what info I can get in terms of removing trim. Its just such a long run from the mirror to the passenger side fuse box, middle console just because of the expansive glass roof. To the back is even longer and would require an extension wire or something to make it there. I've already hidden the wiring and have enough slack to the front fuse box, I just have to put the fuse tap into the box. Hopefully I can get this squared away this weekend.

On another note, I was still debating which detector to use. Right now I'm set up to use my Escort redline 360c. Anyone else have experience with that detector? I've been using the Uniden R8 in my other car and that's been great.

I was able to get some "ideas"... I just got my car back this afternoon, so I'll be testing some things out tonight and will let you know.

I'm using the Escort MaxCam 360 - works really well (but haven't tested in my GTA yet). I don't think my version is likely to be impacted by the glass issue, so should be g2g...

I am using an Escort Max 2 and aside from a few more laser falses, it appears to be working fine mounted below the rear view mirror. I am having the wiring done to the trunk on Friday, as Lucid techs at headquarters don’t advise wiring to the fuse panel near the glovebox.

How were u able to moint it under the mirror? Did a blendmount work?

Its on the suction cup mount slightly below and to the right of the mirror, as there isn't enough room on the mirror neck. It actually looks pretty good there, almost like a mirror mount.
