Long radar detector cable?

I was unable to effectively do a wire tap into the rearview mirror for my radar detector and I figured then the easiest thing to do is to actually run a very long cable to the 12 V outlet in the trunk. I’m trying to route the wire through the trim, but having some difficulty getting it through some parts of the trim, especially in the pillar between the front and rear windows. I’m also not able to find a cable that’s longer than 12 feet and for me to effectively hide the cable and it’s entirety I need a cable that’s at least 15 feet. Anybody have any suggestions or done this in the past?

This is the cable I bought
Radar Straight Power Cord Compatible with Uniden R3 R7 R1 Radar Detector, for Passport 9500i/7500S/8500/7500/6800, Radar Passport 8500 X50, Valentine One Radar Detector, etc (3.5m/11.5ft) https://a.co/d/a9Su0cE

Could try this..

RWUJILONG 12V/24V Heavy Duty Cigarette Lighter Extension Cord 26FT 14AWG with LED Light for Car Vehicle Tire Pump Air Compressor Refrigerator Coffee Maker etc. (1*Spare Fuse) https://a.co/d/iVnmlm0

I also routed to the rear but went down the passenger A pillar to the floor before running it to the back. Less noticeable trim pieces down on the floor versus the top.

Do you have any pictures of your setup? How did you get it from the floor to behind the seat into the trunk without it being noticeable.

Is this what you used or did you use a different cable altogether

I only hooked up a dashcam, so I used a USB extension cable and ran it into the 12v with a USB adapter.

Gonna hook up my uniden R3 in my GT
Obviously no cigarette lighter so I need an RJ 11 cable to run power. Is this correct?

I tapped into the fuse box located below the passenger side footwell. I have a Valentine V1 Gen 2 and I was able to hardwire it using a Bussmann add a circuit (I believe it is a micro fuse size). The V1 has a long enough phone style cord to run up the A piller. I have a metal roof so it was easy to run it to the center by the rear view mirror. I had a V1 Gen 1 that didn't work because of all the build in electronics. Also, placement on the windshield was important. Mine did not work just above the dash, it had to be up high. If you still want to use the 12 volt cigarette lighter style, you can hardwire another 12 volt socket from the fusebox and place it in the center console. I did both because I like the additional 12 volt availability.
