Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

I don’t think there is any hope for more than a handful of pure deliveries before EOY.
I have a VIN for a touring fully loaded for a week now and the plan was for delivery week of 12/19 but my DA told me today it would be the last week of December for delivery and I live in CA.
If they can’t deliver all these touring or GTs you have seen in Bears workshop (no metal roof showing), I would highly doubt they make and deliver much Pures before EOY.
I would like to know what is hindering the deliveries of all those cars in the factory 1600 plus cars.

Possibly! And it's a good thing as I'm sure some GT reservation holders want their specific spec. They should absolutely wait to get the car they are paying for and Lucid should absolutely deliver them their spec!

Just spoke to my DA. He expects to have my VIN on Monday and delivery around Dec 27-31 and asked if it's ok if an agent drives the car for home delivery. Sure thing! My estimated 7-10 business days delivery from VIN assignment that I'm seeing in the Touring tracker seems to be the case.

He mentioned the canceled event. I think they at least want those who were initially invited to at least get the car EOY. He said only a handful of Pures will be delivered by EOY and I'm super appreciative to be one of those. I'd say if you were invited and haven't heard an update, go schedule to talk with your DA as early as possible next week.

Could also be being made for the Saudi order. Given deliveries started in 2023 I believe.

When is Europe launching? It’s a lot of $$$$ in revenue sitting on those lots. Over 1,600 of them.

Congratulations but I think I’m sick. My reservation was made 10/17/20 and I went with the Jenkins layout to have a crack at a 2022 delivery. I think I’m laying off reading the Forum until I get my VIN. Don’t want to die of envy or frustration.

Glad someone is getting Pures but would have been nice if reservation dates mattered. I totally get pushing Touring and above in front of Pure from a revenue standpoint. I know there are many of us who indicated we would pickup wherever to beat the EOY date but that doesn’t seem to have factored into this.

Well that’s awesome, bc I finalized mine within 8 minutes of them sending it, this is absolutely absurd. I’ll bite my tongue until I get confirmation either way, but I cannot believe how this is being rolled out…

I don't believe that either the invite to the December 17th event that didn't happen nor the distribution of a VIN had anything to do with distance from the factory. I live about sixty miles from the factory and I didn't get an invitation nor have I received a VIN even though I reserved on June 18, 2021 and finalized on November 22, 2022 as soon as I saw that option. It is strange that no one from Lucid feels obiigated to try to explain this mess. Yes, I resent the fact that order of reservation apparently was given no condsideration in establishing the order to distribute VINs. I want to feel happy for those who will get there Pure and the tax credit, but that is extremely difficult to do when I know that others who put their faith and money on the line for Lucid are being treated with so little (if any) respect.

This is a clown show…don’t get me wrong, I’m super happy for everyone getting VIN’s that have, but come on, a couple of these people have rsvps starting this year! What about everyone who has been waiting before and believed enough to put their money where their mouth was when it mattered…I guess it doesn’t matter, this is unreal if I don’t get a VIN allocation before end of 2022, I’m walking and never looking back at lucid. Breaks my heart to say…

I have not received any email regarding VIN and my dashboard shows "Preparing for Production" but Apply for a loan/lease option is available.
