My car is No. 58 and I do not have it. They clearly are not rolling out in sale order.
They aren't up to the DE roll out yet. They had a small initial beta, now they are in the 100 user beta. After that should be the DE roll out

Only semi early adapter ( got my GT early May) but no update icon

This is an utterly massive update In size, I decided to take a quick peak at the network traffic just to see (I’ve been neglecting taking a look here in any detail for a while now). I did find one highly concerning factor. Why is the car shooting off Facebook analytics…

I honestly dont care what Lucid’s marketing team might be trying to do there, that shouldn’t happen. I might just dive in more for specifics, but it’s quite a red flag.
Spotify uses Facebook for authentication and ads; for example within their podcasts. That’s why you’re seeing Facebook ads / analytics.

The car itself isn’t using Facebook for anything.

For those of you have have been fortunate enough to be beta testers or early adopters, have there been any glitches? Or has it been solid? In other words, do you see a reason for the wait?
Lots of improvements that are noticeable from the get go as some have shared on Twitter a week ago. Its been solid for me without glitches. I'm continuing to play with it to see what other feedback will be helpful to the developers. Just a few nuances here and there, but nothing major. The whole point of getting it to more beta testers is to have more feedback so that when it does roll out to the masses, its even better.

Were you one of the participants that got chosen to test or are you just car No. 58? It is not just based on sale order. Hopefully you'll get the update soon so you can experience the new software.

Thanks, it's very reassuring that there have been no major issues reported by the early users. I look forward to receiving the update, hopefully this month.

Right, which again, not great. The car is sending data up regardless if it’s through 3rd party means or not. It’s frankly not acceptable.

Facebook ads and advertising is using Facebook. Including the Spotify SDK does not pipe that by default…

And honestly, it’s not acceptable.
Sorry, its Tidal, not Spotify; I was mistaken.

Sure; you can choose not to use Tidal, or complain to Tidal about the default analytics. My point is I don’t think Lucid could turn that off. :/

Eh, it’s negligible on which app really. This is really where the choice to use android auto does not shine. Normally, an OEM would be able to vet this software aggressively. Using out of the box Android apps, they should probably reach out regarding this.

I understand your point, and don’t entirely disagree.

I just don’t think it’s “unacceptable” either

Ok 2.0.5 impressions so far:
-The navigation is phenomenal. With only 1 bar of service satellite view loaded very quick, nav lady voice stays off if you turned it off, even after leaving car for an hour and choosing a new route. Turn by turn on glass cockpit is great. For me the coolest feature on the navigation is it now auto-zooms in when you’re close to your turn, then auto-zooms out once you’ve made the turn and are going to be on the new road for a bit. Very smart. It’s also super quick when you interact with it. Estimated range on arrival is a neat new addition, I haven’t tested to see if it’s accurate. I very much miss the mi/kWh and hope they put it back though!
-Turn signal cameras come on instantly, and also have a very fast frame rate, very hi def view now. Well done!
-The new halo around the car indicating obstacles takes some getting used to on the front/backup camera as it looks like a hazy cloud and actually makes it harder to see if you’re backing up out of a dark garage or if there are environment lighting changes.
-Tidal works and is very snappy and responsive. Atmos or not.
-Bluetooth is flawless now, I can’t get it to break. If my wife plays something on her phone it instantly switches from Tidal in the car to Spotify on her phone and displays it immediately on the music screen. Meanwhile I can get an incoming text on my phone while my wife’s phone is playing music and navigation is running. Apparently the processor in this car is VERY good, we just didn’t know before because of the VM software.
-360 camera is now your car color. And it’s very responsive and snappy.
-LOVE the frunk button on the left glass cockpit. I use the frunk all the time, makes perfect sense to put it right next to the door before you get out.
-It MAY be my imagination but I’m wondering whether the SOC% calculation has changed? I seemed to get better than expected range when driving to a farm today. If this is accurate this is a neat improvement.
-Phone as mobile key works.
-I wasn’t able to but can someone test the interior timeout to sleep prompt with a passenger? The goal is I’d like to leave the wife and kid in the car without having to leave the fob in the car and have the car not go to sleep after 10 minutes, would love someone to test this as I wasn’t able to.

I’m beyond impressed at the improvements that have been made so far, gone are the bulk of software frustrations. Great job Lucid!

Also I’m only making these comments knowing there is more to come from updates, so please ignore any criticisms as the cookie isn’t fully baked yet, but hey cookie dough is damn delicious!

Updates are not yet done, but so far (w/ 2.0.5), the software is miles ahead of where it was prior to 2.0. Although I only upgraded to 2.0.5 this morning and haven't fully tested all the updates/changes, I see no reason to delay upgrading if you are given the opportunity to do so.

Looking forward to the other updates..

What was that button there before the frunk button on the left cockpit panel? I don’t remember. I do agree that frunk button is at more useful location.

I hope HomeLink improvement coming very soon. This is massive update!

Has there been any discussions on what spec the computing system is, and how much overhead there is for future updates, such as this one?

Coming from a 2017 model S with FSD, I’m sure many of you know the story about how we’ve seen 2.5+ computer upgrades and we’re still not there…

Do the dream editions have the same internals, or have there been some hw updates?

Hoping to have my GT next week… just waiting PDI out of Florida…

Window lock, I believe.

Super excited... hoping the update will come for me soon. I'm so glad I just let it sit, and didn't sell it.
