Does the rear window shade effect the auto-dimming rear view mirror?

Drove this evening my new 2022 Dream-P and noticed a few things that seemed unusual:
The rear view mirror was not dimming, though I did have the rear-window-shade up yet car lights were very bright behind me. Does the software affect this dimming feature when it's up?
The Passenger Airbag light is blinding and cataract-inducingly bright and distracting as is the hazard button.

Side note the new bass-improved feature clips the front speakers when the EQ is set to bass-maximum.

Just curious.

Oh boy, welcome to my world from 3 years ago 🤣 They fixed this issue very very fast in future builds. Which DE# are you? I’m 241. GTs didn’t have this problem.

Anyway, it’s fixable. Just trust me and order this now: https://a.co/d/5q4kjKS

The nice part is you’ll find 1000 other places at home you’ll want to stick these on too. Modems, routers, random other status lights, etc. :)

As for the dimming mirror, I have literally never checked. I’ll do so after the holidays when I’m back home though!

For the bass, get to service and ensure you have the TSB and TSC applied for the woofers in the front footwells and the speakers in the A-pillar respectively; also, Lucid has said there are many more audio updates coming, so it definitely will improve.

Welcome!

Nice! Seems we're close, I'm #234.
I know there was a sort of hardware update on the speakers on some models with Surround Pro. I reset the Infotainment system after software update 2.5 and noticed the bass was improved but now clipping, especially if the EQ bass is set to maximum (aka barely acceptable). I don't even think there's any tweeters despite 20 speakers.
I contacted the Service help-desk number and they gave me access to the Lucid App from the previous owner after sending them the title, etc. , but I haven't heard from the actual Service Personnel out of Denver. I'll need a front license plate, additional key, and valet card as well; maybe they'll accommodate? Not sure how backed-up they are or whatever.

I'll see if the rear-window shade being down allows the rear-mirror to dim or not.

I actually took off the rear headrests as they come out easily, and lowered the rear shade. Inside my garage, the car assumes it's "night time" and so the headlights come on and sure enough, the rearview mirror dims from the outside brightness! (Not much, but it dims.) I think the shade and headrests block the photovoltaic sensor a bit, perhaps, but it works, which is great news.
I plan on Ceramic-IR tinting the side and rear windows tomorrow which will add more perturbation-based results so I can confuse myself further. I find the tinting above is good enough for now. I might consider getting the sunshade pack Lucid sells.

I'll ask Service if they'll need to get me that tape (TSB/TSC) or not. Unfortunately I'll need a front license plate bracket as well (Colorado) a second key and a key-card. I left a message a week ago and haven't got any response yet.
