UX 2.5 OTA Update

Thanks for elaborating, @borski! However, IF your statement about Lucid only 'unlocking' the feature post TSC is solely based on your interpretation of that statement in the release notes, I would wonder if it was not just poorly worded. Just imagine how many calls the service centers are going to get if the owners can't even experience a minor improvement while they wait for the TSC fix!
Your statement that my statement is solely based on the release notes is not correct.

So does regen off mean it'll need to be braked like an ICE vehicle using manual braking?
Correct. Also the charge indicator changes to all dashed around speedometer. I tried it just for a second and put high regen back. Maybe its useful for auto cross?

I don't have 2.5 yet but have a question on the regeneration option selector. Is this only visible after choosing a drive mode or is it always visible?

I ask because I currently use standard regeneration (in Swift mode) when operating on the highway and locally in no-traffic situations. I switch to high regeneration when driving locally in traffic (something I rarely encounter).

It's somewhat annoying to have to reselect swift in order to have the ability to select a new regeneration level. I expect to use the no regeneration while operating in the snow.

Not always visible. I had to press drive mode for it to show up. You have great enhancement idea to store regen type for each drive mode.

...and yet some people are reporting a noticeable SSP improvement post 2.5 without having completed the TSC. Placebo effect? I think not! But that's just my opinion. I may be wrong. :)

Its visible after selecting drive mode (you can keep your current drive mode by touching your current drive mode). It is also available in the drive settings menu.

OK. :)

So it works same as the current system, two selections to make a change. Hopefully in the future it will always be visible so a single selection will allow change to regeneration. Having it always visible would also be helpful for drivers who change regeneration levels in that they would know at a glance what the regeneration level has been set to.

The bass is clearly louder now. I thought the system was great but not incredible before, it's noticeably more punchy now but still retains the clarity from before. I really like the faster volume changes.

Unfortunately I seem to be having intermittent camera failures, every time I've driven it after 2.5 was installed the cameras randomly failed when the automatically came on due to obstacles.

They seem to work at first and then fail when an obstacle is detected later in the drive.

Also as of now the Curb Rash Alert shows as feature unavailable and toggle switch grayed out. i am not sure as to why yet. Maybe due to low light conditions? But I can't even enable it.
Yeah, same on mine.

Probably best for snow as regen can cause unexpected sliding/traction issues

I’m still waiting for the update. But my car was in service about two weeks ago for the speaker tape fix. My work order says nothing about a TSC/TSB number. I just have a part number for two pieces of tape. Hopefully that is recent enough that I’m good to go

Part Number Part Description Quantity Unit Price Total Price
P11-B91013-00 TAPE 100MMX50MM 2.00 $0.00

For the thick headed like myself, ALL 2024 and earlier cars need the TSC to get the SSP update activated? No matter how recently purchased?

Yeah, same on mine.

If you are in a garage or in low light (evening, dusk), it will look disabled that way. As soon as you are in daylight, you will find it enabled.

Every single vehicle. If you have not had the TSC performed *very* recently, you need it. Even if you had the tape replaced in a prior service; this is different tape. And it makes a huge difference.

I do not know when they started applying the correct tape at the factory, but you'll get an email if you need it either way.

And, to be super clear, I mean every single vehicle that has SSP, as someone mentioned earlier. If you don't have SSP, this TSC does not apply.

I checked mine from Aug 22, and it was included. And therein lies the problem. If we had to check the paperwork, it means that the change in sound wasn't obvious enough to show a substantial improvement. Perhaps it will be much better when I get the update, but I can't tell how the system would have sounded without the fix after the update, if indeed anything new is enabled without the fix.
You will not notice a substantial (if any) difference until after both. But then it is substantial.

Thank you for sharing this. The next time you experience this, can you DM the date/time and the circumstances under which the failure occurred?

Haha yeah, that sucks, I'm sorry. TSB-B1122-001-01 is the old tape; I had the same TSB performed 08/07/2023. :)

You need TSC-B0824-001-01, and once that is complete (in Lucid's tracking system), it will "unlock" the new audio system in software automatically, and you will be delighted.
Is there a website repository for TBS and TBC?
Thanks.

That’s amazing I just posted in another thread last week and said they should recalibrate the volume knob but sounds like they were on it!
