Absolutely. If you look on an old thread that I posted a couple years ago (I’m on mobile otherwise I would search it for you ), you will see that my local service person, Frank, and I identified the source of what seemed at the time like a blown woofer in the driver‘s footwell. As it turned out, it was simply a piece of tape… what looked like black duct tape… covering two circular openings in the aluminum frame nearby. Apparently, when the woofer fired, especially on bass notes, that tape would vibrate and create a sound that mimicked a blown speaker. At first, I truly thought my speaker was blown, but further investigation revealed it was the tape that was the problem. Way back then, my service person performed an improvised fix for the problem: he used some foil backed butyl tape similar to what you’d see used during a window installation on the area. Immediately, the sound in my car improved. I spread the word throughout the forum and numerous people did the same thing to their great satisfaction. I did let Lucid know about this, but unfortunately large companies don’t move as quickly as individuals, and they finally did release a TSC to essentially do this same repair, but using the exact tape that they recommended. Cars with SSP need this “repair“ in order for the newest update to be turned on to maximum effect. As it turns out, the update makes things sound even worse if you did not have not had this tape repair, so Lucid disabled the full effect of the update until it is completed. Even my vehicle, despite having had a prior version of the repair, needed to have it done over with the official Lucid tape. For the last several months, Lucid has been applying this repair to any car in for service for any reason. If your car has not been in for service and you have not received this tape replacement, you should contact service and have it done at your convenience. Then, when 2.5.0 is installed, your sound will be significantly better. I hope that answers the question.
