UX 2.5 OTA Update

How do we know it’s more accurate, less accurate or the same if no objective measurements have been taken?

One thing I will say is that for those who were saying how excellent the sound was pre-update, I’m not sure how they would feel equally good post-update.

For me, I like what I’m hearing.

Correct, it was just my opinion, ears are very subjective. I'm part of the few (?) that liked it before, I never thought the bass was lacking. But I also understand that a lot of people love them some extra whoomph, so here we are.

Yes, that is confirmed. We will be sending an email shortly notifying owners with SSP who have not had the adjustment.
Just wondering if we all should have received such an email by now if we have SSP? I got the update yesterday and still no email. Checked to make sure Lucid has my correct email. Car manufactured 5/24 so hoping I don't need the TSC.

I installed the update this morning, and am hoping to get scheduled soon for the TSC. I'm wondering if there is going to be a way that I will categorically know when the additional post-TSC enhancements have been be activated. I suppose time will tell, but I sure hope I won't just be wondering whether or not there's more to come!

I'm pretty sure you will need the TSC. I got the 'close but no cigar' TSB fix in early August of 2024. Especially for something this simple... if they were already installing the 'improved' TSC fix when they built the cars in May of 2024, I don't think they would have still been installing the 'lesser' fix at the service centers more than two months later.

Oh you’ll know, you’ll know. 😉

I had my HV battery replaced a couple months ago. They must have installed the tape as well as I got this email a day or two ago

I’m in Hawaii for the next couple of days but did install the software remotely. Can’t wait to get home to see the improvements.

Anyone having issues with mobile key after the update? I already unlinked them relinked phone. Car asks for pin every time.

I must admit, in the beginning, I was critical of the lack of low end bass response; however, with time I really started to appreciate how accurate and crisp the sound was. I have mixed feelings post 2.5 , but after a few weeks my ears will adjust. It’s obvious Lucid was listening to feedback from their customers and they responded accordingly. Sound system is wonderful , but now it’s just a tad different.

I did with my Android Pixel 7, but I followed the instructions on the app, which essentially had me delete the Bluetooth connection, and then establish a new connection. Took about a minute. Just click on the little phone icon in the upper right corner of the app, and click on "Having Issues?" I imagine it would be a very similar process with an iPhone.

I just updated. Much more bass. Just go in to equalizer and lower the bass some. I had it maxed before and it was sort of lacking. Now I can adjust it according to my mood.

Ok you’re the one to ask…. Why does my charging not work every single time we get updates pushed to us? It cannot just be me, I’m not Gucci mane. But seriously it happens every time on my car. I never have charging issues except when we get updates pushed.

Thank you.
When it updates it reboots just like a pc. Solution.. Turn off auto updates.

Two questions. I successfully installed 2.5. The right screens were locked up so I did the X/mic/ break reboot. Everything now works Does this mean the audio is immediately fixed? The stereo does seem to have more base but still a little fuzzy. So if I don’t ask / complain to service they won’t remove the offending tape and do the TSC fix? I just got the car back yesterday from getting a new battery/ wonderbox and harness. Someone said mobile can do the TSC

IT IS less accurate and the bass is bloated. I think that the "audiophile" changes were just boosting the lower frequencies for the front woofers. Now it's overwhelming, by popular demand :)
The more sensitive volume is a welcome change, even though now it's too sensitive. I'll take it tho, compared to what it was before.
The curb rash warning, this is not a feature that should have been released in this state, it's more like a pre-production alpha version.

Some of these updates, I swear, it's like they have AI writing the code, not humans.
I respectfully disagree on all counts.

Newbie question:
Do you receive an email from Lucid when a TSB is issued? How about when an over the air update is available, or god forbid, a safety recall?
You’ll get mail for a safety recall, and it will be well publicized, even for a software fix; if it’s a recall, the NHTSA has notification requirements.

TSBs don’t “exist” until you have a problem; think of them as “solutions” to known issues. But only if the issue presents.

TSCs are non-urgent “things to fix next time you see the car.” Applying the Lucid bear decal, for example, if you bought one before they existed, might have been a TSC for example. Checking a random bolt has been installed properly, etc.; things that you *know* need fixing, but are not a safety issue and thus don’t merit a recall.

Same. I got used to the new one quickly.

Oh? It works great for me. I haven’t had it fail yet, though I’ve seen the one or two fails posted here.

I literally use it every time when parking, since I received it.

I plan on running a frequency sweep again; I haven’t had the time, but I will.

It’s better. It required adjusting the EQ, but it is much much better. Still very accurate, but the lower frequencies are better attenuated and tuned at lower volumes, which means it’s not *either* listen to great music or talk; you can do both now.

It did not lose accuracy, to my ears; it is still just as crisp, and I don’t hear any muddling or competing frequencies. The soundstage is exceptionally expansive, and things are placed properly to my ears.

Is it as good of a reference system? Maybe not. But I’m not mixing tracks in my car.

For me, I like what I’m hearing.

And that, my dear friend, is literally all that matters. :)

You just have to adjust the EQ again. Most of us audiophiles were at +6, 0, +2, and it seems the new one we’ve settled on is +5, +2, +2.

adjusting the EQ was the first thing I did. I listened to the new SSP by sitting at both front and rear and noticed that the improvements in bass response might have been too much. In the front driver and passenger seat the base sounds just right with EQ at default for bass. But in the rear the bass is SO MUCH MORE OVERWHELMING, to a point that me and my passenger were getting headaches from it. It sounded like I had a whole Boeing 747 flying over my head, very distracted and couldn’t focus on the clarity of the vocal and instrument. Felt like they were listening to customer feedback but did not test the new system thoroughly enough. My recommendation would be to strike a balance between the previous SSP and the new updated SSP, somewhere in the middle would be great. I miss the clarity and nuances of the old system, but I also applaud the new added bass albeit it might have been too heavy handed. I’ve listened to audio system in the new Genesis G90’s B&O, S class Burmeister, Range Rover’s Meridian and I can tell you right now you can achieve both warm bass presence with clarity of mid range and create a harmonious listening experience without sacrificing one another. And right now the new SSP isn’t there yet.
