UX 2.5 OTA Update

Need to remove door sill and the kick panel. Be careful prying and not to break clips. I would suggest waiting for the email from Lucid stating if your car requires the fix or not.
Definitely need some pics before I would attempt it. Any other way to tell?

Every single vehicle. If you have not had the TSC performed *very* recently, you need it. Even if you had the tape replaced in a prior service; this is different tape. And it makes a huge difference.

The TSC number is TSC-B0824-001-01.

(for the future: a TSB is a “if the customer complains about and/or we see this issue, here’s how to fix it,” and a TSC is “the next time we see the car for any reason, at all, apply this fix if it has not been yet.”)
You seem to be very knowledgeable with all things lucid, please help me answer this question…. Every time my car gets an update it’s at night and without fail it stops my automatic charging, every single time. It’s super frustrating! We get updates infrequently so I’ve never asked nor complained and I usually always have extra cars to drive. Today was the exception… left me in a horrible pickle but figured it out.
You seem to have some connects with them, can you confirm if this is a “me” thing or known issue? Thanks man

Just got my update on my 2024 Touring. I had called service to ask if I could get the speaker fix, and surprisingly my 1/2024 manufacturing date Touring did not need it. I didn't notice anything weird about the sound system outside of the volume being too low and bass being a bit weak. Bass is definitely better but I notice it more in non-ATMOS sound. It seems when I play ATMOS in Tidal, the volume is still a bit on the low end, enough for me to almost have to go full blast. XM and Spotify are much louder with more bass.
Mine was 10/23 date and my SA said I didn’t need it also. Hope in all the chaos there is some order and that they have accurate databases of who needs what.

Thank you for sharing this. The next time you experience this, can you DM the date/time and the circumstances under which the failure occurred?
Ok you’re the one to ask…. Why does my charging not work every single time we get updates pushed to us? It cannot just be me, I’m not Gucci mane. But seriously it happens every time on my car. I never have charging issues except when we get updates pushed.

Thank you.

Yikes, color me confused!!
*Picked up my car from service at about 5:30pm today after completing 4 service advisories, installation of new seat back material and the 2.5 update.

*The car was put on the charger at about 3pm, indicating (I think) the work had been completed at that time.

*I received the Lucid email indicating the necessary ‘minor hardware adjustment’ for SSP at 3:11pm, apparently after work was completed.

*So I’m unsure if this fix was done or not since they only emailed me a receipt for the charge for an air filter replacement, not the actual work that was completed.

I did notice a significant increase in bass and midrange when listening to the system after I picked up the car. Could there be that much of a difference if the fix had not been done?

I called to ask for them to email me the actual work completed, but I haven’t yet received it. So I’m a bit confused…my normal state. ;) Otherwise I was very pleased with my first service appointment.

I spoke to my SA today he said he looked up my VIN and did not see anything TSB outstanding. He thought that it was cars built earlier years that has the issue. Mine is a 2024 built end of 2023. How do I know if the tape issue applies to me? Perhaps it is something easy to check? Take a speaker grill off?
If the SA looked up the VIN directly and said it didn’t apply then it probably doesn’t apply. Don’t go tearing the car apart.

I honestly have no idea. Email CS about it.

I'm hoping there are additional fixes coming to scheduled charging. I wasn't even aware of the issue addressed in 2.5.0.

Newbie question:
Do you receive an email from Lucid when a TSB is issued? How about when an over the air update is available, or god forbid, a safety recall?

Odd, every time Lucid has touched my car there has been a work order I’ve had to sign ahead of time…

Yup, I was surprised too. When my advisor said he would email me the work, I assumed it wouldn’t be just a receipt for what was charged, but rather the work that was performed. When I called back he said he would email it right away, but thus far no joy. I know they’re open today, but I’m not sure if they actually accept calls on Saturday.

Pretty sure the tape on my woofers were never replaced the second time even though my remote technician marked the TSC as complete during this last visit 😭 the bass has absolutely improved but the tape fluttering sound is there and quite obvious.

Attaching for reference. I brought my car in October to repair a creak on the seat, and they did fix a speaker problem that I didn't have. My SSPRO is definitely improved after the update with a reboot.

Audiophiles will love our latest software release

We are currently rolling out software version 2.5 over the air (OTA) to your Lucid Air. Included in this release is the next-generation Surreal Sound Pro, providing improved bass response, more accurate music reproduction, and better system performance overall.

Your vehicle is hardware-ready to enable this improvement as soon as you install the software. Therefore, you should expect the improved audio performance to be active within a few hours of completing installation of the 2.5 software update. Subsequently, you will see the screens in the car rebooting once the audio improvements have been enabled.

Please contact Lucid Customer Care with any questions. Thank you for being a part of the Lucid community.

You will not get emails about TSB. TSBs are only done if and when an issue comes up. This is the first OTA where an email was sent and that was because to the speaker TSC. You will get an OTA notice both in the car and on your phone app. You will get both an email and snail mail for recalls.

Thanks for that Adnillien.

I just received the completed work order and, unsurprisingly given the audio improvements I’m hearing, the TSC was completed. :)

I’ve noticed the same. Huge change to volume. The slider increments have gotten larger too. But sound accuracy seems off to me.
IT IS less accurate and the bass is bloated. I think that the "audiophile" changes were just boosting the lower frequencies for the front woofers. Now it's overwhelming, by popular demand :)
The more sensitive volume is a welcome change, even though now it's too sensitive. I'll take it tho, compared to what it was before.
The curb rash warning, this is not a feature that should have been released in this state, it's more like a pre-production alpha version.

Some of these updates, I swear, it's like they have AI writing the code, not humans.
