The reason I say call support is that they need to know these things are happening in order to to address them. Whether that be in software or hardware. You turning off the feature is not going to address what may very well be wrong somewhere much deeper in the stack. It may only hide a fundamental issue that comes back in some other form later.

The reason to turn of curb rash alert temporarily is to narrow down to specific feature. I am trying to gather as much data as possible before contacting Customer Service as well as posting here to see if others experienced it. This is only to help engineering team and service center with troubleshooting hardware vs software issue etc. Calling Customer Service saying something doesn't work without providing much context is little to no help.

You find it under settings, dream drive.

This was discussed in a previous post and most likely it's related to limited light dusk/dawn, night or inside a garage.

I did have this impression last evening when I first listened after the update. I did sense a bit of reduction in sound clarity.
I was a bit overwhelmed by the new bass response ; perhaps it will just take some time to get accustomed to.

I turned my bass way down to +1 after the new update. What I have noticed while sitting in the back seat, the volume in the speakers in the rear doors is much louder. This is probably what people are hearing.

Yup, I do.
I quickly tested it in my garage right after the update was installed, using Apple Music via CarPlay. But I just got a free trial with Tidal and I'll go for a test drive after work, I'll use the native Tidal app for this one to eliminate any factors that might impact the sound experience, I know Apple has been pushing for hearing protection stuff in their latest software, so that might have been a factor.

Update installed this morning, then drove to a lunch meeting. The improvement in the audio performance was dramatic, to my ears. Very impressed.

I have a 2023 Pure AWD with DD premium. I'm on 2.4.10 and I got notified today via the app and the car of Software update 2.5.0. I started the install, it got to about 5% then it quit. Got an alert that said I will be notified when a software update is available for my car.

Do you have the TSC applied? If not, your experience doesn’t count yet. (I’m kidding, of course it does; the solution is just applying the TSC)

Thanks for reminding me of this! Yes, the tape was installed in September.
The new sound is great, just a bit different , so naturally it may take a bit to really get accustomed to it. The volume increase is quite noticeable , as is the low end bass response. All good.

Tom, it's not clear on this but since our cars were manufactured around the same time, mine needed it yours will likely need it too. Call Dana at KOP she should be able to tell you.

Mine was updated with 24k service automagically about a month ago. Still waiting on 2.5 update .

Also of note: This can be done by mobile service, depending on where you are located. So you may not have to bring the car in.

That’s key. Nearest service center is a couple hours away and I’d hate to spend a whole day on this.

Make sure you confirm the software update. Once I did this, the setting became available. Noticeable improvements in the base even without the TSC.

Look forward to hearing further improvements once the car gets serviced next week.

Yeah I figured we’d get both since one car had it done already and the other has not. Hopefully they knock it out while it’s in the shop now.

Got the (your vehicle is hardware-ready) version of the email, while being in my car testing the sound system with native Tidal app, and OMG the improvement is definitely noticeable (bass and max volume), amazing job to the software and audio teams, it's worth the investment in SSP now.
I think I also noticed improvements with the steering wheel volume control response, not as fast as I'd like it to be, but faster than before for sure.

A few of us are experiencing camera issues. Let customer service know what time the issues occur for you. At this point I'm sure they're aware.

As a temporary workaround, you can do the lock/walk away reboot. But it seems to fail if any obstacles trigger the cameras. I'm sure they'll fix it, seems like it's not happening to everyone.
