I didn't get the impression it would be only 1-2 weeks before delivery, she said we'd be coordinating over the coming weeks. I had asked her about insurance and she said to wait until I got a delivery date.

You will not see a VIN for most likely 2-3 months after that call. Pencils, who knows. Some don’t even have them yet.

I got a phone call followed by an email with a VIN assignment . Delivery no earlier than 4 weeks if things go as planned and above quote from @GEWC "Do not finalize" was said repeatedly over the phone.

Mostly going over details of your order, the process going forward and answering questions. I doubt it will take 30 minutes but they will not rush you. I did not schedule a call but was given that choice. We just discussed those details on my first call. Now most of my communication is by email since that is what I prefer. It seems to work well for my DA also.

The only things my DA asked me were for a photo of my driver's license and whether or not I wanted a front plate.

As I recall (its been so long) I was asked about the title registration, where I wanted the car delivered, how I intended to pay, etc. Didn't actually take 30 minutes. Anyway, that was in late October and I got my VIN# in early December. Hopefully getting the car in the next week or so. Yeah license photos and question on front plate.

My call was very similar, he asked about title registration, front license plate, how I intended to pay (finance or cash), the need for a copy of driver’s license and current insurance cards (CA only) and the best method I would like for communications going forward. (Phone, text, email). All-in-All, a very pleasant call.

It's interesting how different that silver looks than what I saw at the Manhattan studio. There it is was a much warmer silver. Although it could well have been the poor white balance of the camera that shot it.

While it most closely resembles the 21" Aero Blade wheel, it is a bit different. I wonder why. The date on the video is January 11th, 2022 however. It maybe just be a prototype.

I saw another photo of these wheels somewhere else on a pre-prod today so I’m betting it is a prototype.

Found where I remembered them from - a prototype that went around for a bit, MKBHD had it at one point.
