I took delivery in Riviera Beach, FL this Saturday. Big shout out to the Delivery Center as they didn't have a pick-up slot on Saturday for me, but that means I would have had to wait another week until I could get down there. They made it work, by having one of the operations people do my delivery. Very nice.
While at the delivery center, I saw 40+ Airs at the facility. Some pictures attached.
This weekend, we drove it 290 miles to St Augustine, via Winter Park. We started with an indicated 441 miles of range and ended with 31 miles. So actual range of about 320. However, for those of you that know the FL highways, no one goes the speed limit. To keep up, and to have fun, the majority of those miles were done at 85+MPH. So the impact to range is understandable.
When I got home, the Lucid charged to 80% in about 5 hours.
One concern is that it lost about 4% of its charge overnight (unplugged), is that normal? A bit of concern if you leave it an an airport for a week. Anyone else experiencing this?
As for the car. I really do love it. It is incredibly quiet and calm. The acceleration is there when you need it, but with the accelerator pedal calibration, it never feels lurchy etc. Easy to drive smoothly.
As others have commented. The screens and their functionality need work. The interaction between the top screen and the bottom screen is cumbersome, It feels like you can only do one thing at a time. This will get remedied I am sure.
My wife has already claimed the car for the week and my father-in-law for the weekend... so it may be a while until I get back in it! May need 2
In summary... definitely worth the wait. Well done Lucid
