Received Lucid Grand Touring today, April 23,2022. WJA

I was supposed to get an update yesterday from my DA, but he told me this morning that he was sick yesterday and asked if I was available today. I told him I was, but have not heard from him yet.
So I too have a gray GT and haven't heard anything. I spoke my DA last week and he said that the car is in production but not yet painted, whatever that means... He has a livecam of the assembly line? I was in the early Nov group so I can't make sense of how they decide on who to ship to. But glad to hear that somehow, somewhere people are finally getting their cars!

I would expect you to get a VIN next week if what these DA’s are saying is accurate. Mine has been saying “mid to late April, possibly first week of May”. He now sounds like he is leaning towards “hopefully first week of May” and no longer leaning towards April. That being said, if I am really first week of May, you should be next week. My confirmation date was mid-November. @Sandvinsd has heard “by the end of April, period” from his DA and he confirmed at the end of November. Somebody is going to be slightly off.

I just can’t wait to see what the first production Grey looks like.

Me too!

If I like it enough, I may skip the xpel stealth and just do xpel ultimate.

I took delivery in Riviera Beach, FL this Saturday. Big shout out to the Delivery Center as they didn't have a pick-up slot on Saturday for me, but that means I would have had to wait another week until I could get down there. They made it work, by having one of the operations people do my delivery. Very nice.

While at the delivery center, I saw 40+ Airs at the facility. Some pictures attached.

This weekend, we drove it 290 miles to St Augustine, via Winter Park. We started with an indicated 441 miles of range and ended with 31 miles. So actual range of about 320. However, for those of you that know the FL highways, no one goes the speed limit. To keep up, and to have fun, the majority of those miles were done at 85+MPH. So the impact to range is understandable.

When I got home, the Lucid charged to 80% in about 5 hours.

One concern is that it lost about 4% of its charge overnight (unplugged), is that normal? A bit of concern if you leave it an an airport for a week. Anyone else experiencing this?

As for the car. I really do love it. It is incredibly quiet and calm. The acceleration is there when you need it, but with the accelerator pedal calibration, it never feels lurchy etc. Easy to drive smoothly.

As others have commented. The screens and their functionality need work. The interaction between the top screen and the bottom screen is cumbersome, It feels like you can only do one thing at a time. This will get remedied I am sure.

My wife has already claimed the car for the week and my father-in-law for the weekend... so it may be a while until I get back in it! May need 2 :)

In summary... definitely worth the wait. Well done Lucid

I am wondering if the fitted car cover in one of the pictures is a Lucid or another brand…

The bits I could see peaking out looked like airs to me. But not certain
Let me rephrase. I was talking about the car cover, not the car underneath. Is the car cover a Lucid brand car cover?

...Big shout out to the Delivery Center as they didn't have a pick-up slot on Saturday for me...

Seems consistent from California to Florida that a large bottleneck to higher delivery numbers is not the factory making them fast enough, rather the service centers having enough time in the day to fit everyone in.

Lucid branding has "Air" on the windsheild side

Same here. However, our garage is close to our downstairs living room and our home office is above the garage. We found out that walking to the back of the house and returning with our phones with us is waking and unlocking the car. The kids loved this experiment because they sat in the garage in front of the car (without keys/phones/watches) and watched the Lucid light show as we walked around the house 😂. Am I missing a setting to disable mobile key when geofenced for house or does this go on the “hope they add feature” list?

Grats! Regarding the battery drain, what condition was the car in? Garaged? Also were any keys out of range? One of the biggest drains we've seen is the car constantly searching for the key to lock or unlock.

They said the fob is only supposed to be 6 feet but it's definitely more than that. I'm sure they can fine tune it. Everyone has different experiences with some wanting further and others less, so hopefully they can find a sweet spot

Thanks for the response. Yes the car is garaged. I have placed the keys quite a distance from the car. Perhaps its picking up our phones as we walk around the house. But at night our phones are in the bedroom, far from the garage. I will go back and look at the security cameras and see if the car is opening and closing.

I’ll

The service centers have a lot more room to hold cars and the factory lot is consistent on the number of cars present. I would say the factory production Is matching the deliveries. Better communication from the DAs and more timely production so that customers can predict the delivery will help the service centers deliver cars.

Millbrae is about maxed out..I was told by my DA that it would be a while before my car made it through PDI last week. @copper has had their car there longer than myself and unless I missed something, they still don’t have it. Service center is tapped out currently and that’s the bottleneck.

So are they not meeting the 2-6 weeks for PDI after VIN now on top of missing the 2-4 month delivery window? There is much talk on the board that those PDI times after VIN were shrinking, or is it just Millbrae that is a problem?
