New HV Battery

Please provide that feedback to lucid customer care and service. They outsource the towing to another company, and can tell them not to use certain providers and would be useful when re-evaluating the contract whenever that happens
I did speak with rep from Lucid and they said it was some automated setting that sent out messages to me and switched it off. They said that usually this provider is very good and this was unusual. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mine was picked up yesterday and sent to Plainview center. Pickup was a pain in the ass as I was texted 7 times between 4:30 am and noon telling me that the tow truck would be there in 25 minutes. Unfortunately I need to leave my phone by my bed since I am a physician and was on call. Definitely not a restful night . Hopefully I’ll get the car back in a week. 🤞
Oh man that sucks I’m sorry! My experience was a bit of the opposite. I am in South Beach for business (life’s rough) and was just able to set a code for the appropriate garage door. They came in took the car no issues. I have now received 2000 notifications that my car is being towed lol

I love, love, love the guys at Plainview. The left headlight on my Pure failed and had to bring car to Plainview whereupon they gave me a Dream Edition for a loaner. Both headlights were replaced and returned to me today. I'm a happy guy.

Glad to hear you had great experience with them. Unfortunately my first experience wasn’t so great and they took my spare tire and jack out of my frunk when they fixed the frunk and forgot to put it back when they returned the car . In addition, I needed another mobile service to fix the frunk that they repaired a week later. Mobile tech commented that they re installed the liner completely wrong. This was right after the site opened and I hope things have improved since then. Growing pains for new company. My best service was early on in Natick. That location seems to be very well run.

Good new on my GT battery. It passed testing and doesn’t need replacing. The engineer in me still wonders why it threw a code. Here’s hoping it stays fixed. They are working on the wind noise for the front doors. I’d by thrilled if they could dial that back.

That's great. My GT battery was replaced. Car is still in service center getting bunch of other items addressed as well. Hoping I get it back by the end of the week.

The official review was wind noise normal. I can’t say I agree. Compared to the German competitors, the rush of air past the driver’s door is tremendously loud.

Are you comparing the noise to German ICE cars or EVs (like the E-Tron, Taycan, I5, etc.)? Subjectively the EV will seem worse because the car is otherwise so quiet.

I suspect there’s something wrong. My Lucid has little to no wind noise, just like my i4. Both are extremely quiet.

I just got this call, they're swapping it out with a loaner in 2 weeks. I noticed the car was uploading a lot more data than usual when it was charging and they called me later the same morning to tell me the battery needs to be checked.

I was given a DE as a loaner while my Pure was in the shop and I thought wind noise was louder in the DE. Maybe due to the glass roof?

So the car was just dropped off at my house after being gone for two weeks and towed all over the southwest. The right front wheel now has serious curb rash. There are not words to describe my level of anger and frustration. I’ve driven the car 1800 miles and it spent 1400 miles on tow trucks only to be returned damaged. I called customer care and they were very nice and apologetic but I’m telling everyone that any delay in getting a new wheel on this car will result in a small claims lawsuit in Georgia within two days.

@mcr16 please help. Taking a car for two weeks, transporting it to Miami for a high-voltage battery issue, deciding not to make a repair, being unable to address the wind noise from the front drivers door, and returning the car damaged is just beyond the pale.

How do you know when car is uploading data ??

Lucid contacted me this evening and were incredibly friendly and sympathetic. A new wheel is on its way to Atlanta. I'm happy to say they really cared and understood how upsetting that was. Great loyalty builder!

I dropped off my AT at one of the Service center for the minor issues and annual maintenance last Friday. SA called me this morning and he said most likely my HV battery needs to be replaced.
I had a turtle warning sign last year but it disappeared and I don’t feel any problem with the car. It is strange but I don’t mind having new battery

I got my GT 6 days ago. did 140 miles over the weekend and received a call from the service center (after the first charging session), about battery issues, they picked up the car the same day.
Now I wonder how long will it take to change it, it's a brand new car and I feel a little frustrated, it never happened to any of my cars ( new or preowned ) over the last 30 years, 140 miles don't they do any QC in the factory?

This reminded me of when we had our S55 AMG in for a new transmission for 2 weeks, replaced and the minute we drove out of service, there was a warning light and shudder. Apparently, the brand new transmission also failed. No matter what car, no matter what manufacturer, shit breaks old and shit breaks new. That's life.

Sorry you are going through this. My HV battery was recently replaced and took 2 weeks for me to get it back. Understand your frustration. I've owned my GT for over 18 months and while it is a fantastic ride, it's certainly has had it's share of service issues. At least service was able to be proactive about the battery and identify a potential issue prior to you having the battery crap out on you when you are in the middle of a road trip. Hope you get your car back soon.
