Lucid announced a deal over a year ago to source Gravity batteries from Panasonic:
Panasonic has licensed silicone technology for a new line of batteries promising 20% more energy density and faster charging. Any chance these batteries will make it into the Gravity?

My understanding has been that the expansion properties of silicon have impeded its use in batteries thus far without complicated mechanical adaptations to battery structure (one company even uses spring loading to handle the expansion of the silicon stack). Has this nut been cracked with silicon nanotechnology?

Panasonic to develop advanced EV batteries with Sila Nanotechnologies
Sila’s nano-composite silicon anode material can deliver a 20% increase in range compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries used for electric vehicles.
