Based on the cause description, I guess they did. Parts didn't state it, but maybe came with a certain assembly.

Does anyone know what the MPB LHV assembly is? I just had my battery replaced and under parts it lists Battery Pack Extended Range LG, HV Harness Charger to MPB, and MBP LHD assy.

Dropped car off at Costa Mesa service center and got a GT loaner. Smooth easy process. Drove down from Vancouver, Canada to Orange County, CA on this potentially faulty battery with no problems. Limped into one charging station at 1% battery remaining and an estimated 4 miles.
Incidentally noted some charging data from some random EA 350kw station:
Starting at 1% SOC/4 mi estimated range, added 175mi/32kwh in 10 min with a starting speed of 200kw which ultimately decayed to 130kw.
Then took an additional 17 min to go up to 305 added miles/59kwh (so I guess a further 130mi and 27kwh) with a final charge speed of 90 kW.
I waited until I had >300mi range because that’s roughly how much i needed to get to my final destination. Otherwise, might have disconnected earlier.
