Visor Mirror Covers - really?!
Hey everyone. I've seen a few posts where the visor mirror cover won't stay up due to a missing magnet and then another post that talks about how they fold over on themselves and magnetize to stay up. I feel like a third grader and can't figure out if my covers aren't working or if I'm just too...

After you lift it up, fold it down into itself and it'll stick thanks to the magnets. There's a good pic in the thread I linked above.

See the thread linked above; they fold *onto themselves* and up. If they don't stick after that, you need to get service to replace the magnets and/or the visor.

Escalate. If they’re not sticking when you double fold them like in the picture we posted, they’re broken.
Not for me. In my GTR the on barely holds on and the other won’t stay in place at all, unless I fold them. Maybe it is just the luck of where the magnets are placed, or lower strength magnets used in later supply for some small cost savings (or a supply chain issue)?
On my car the driver side vanity mirror cover opens as expected, with the magnets holding it folded back on itself. On the passenger side, it's more difficult to fold, and the magnets cannot hold it up. I'm adding this to the list of small items to raise when I'm back from my cross-country trip.
I have the same exact problem .. driver side works fine, passenger side will not stay open. Ironically, I tested this (w/ the Delivery Specialist in the car), but only on the driver's side .. ugh!

No fold seems to work in the DEs, but it seems to work less well in the AGTs; they were designed to be folded onto themselves, and my guess is they switched suppliers and used less intense magnets for the future ones.
