Ugh.... that sucks! Hopefully they can get a new vehicle to you soon. If you're willing to compromise on the spec you could also ask them to notify you on any cancellations.
Lucid should have found a replacement right away for a customer waiting since 2020. This is crazy.

If they had one available i'm sure they would have or are currently trying to find one to replace it with. I don't think Lucid rang them and just said "cars damaged. Bye!"
I guess it comes down if they made extra in the batches or made them to order. Given the Touring is the least popular choice I don't think Lucid would be making a surplus of them to just have them sitting around. I'm sure Lucid will make it right though.
Well, it led to a cancellation so Lucid missed an opportunity to make it right.
@joec Delivered today 1/9/23. Transport arrived later than originally planned so didn't get to do virtual walkthrough. But I've already gone through and completed setup on my own. Didn't have any issues thus far completing the setup process. I will give the car a once over tomorrow once there is better light out. Thus far very happy with the car. And of course the car is simply beautiful.
No. All the reboot processes available to us are soft reboots. Only the techs can do a hard reboot. You don't need to use the pin to drive even if you only had the card...you can touch the card to a specific place. Others have posted it but maybe it shouldn't be in a public post. Also, when you sit in the car, if you defined facial rec to your profile, it will recognize you as an authorized driver. Also, you can unlock the car using any method...it's locking with the card that's important.
Def needed a focus group....I would have said something like "Order Finalized"...but I'm sure they had plenty of meetings on the topic
Wanted to share and update and hopefully some useful information. When car arrived did not have screen functionality. Tried the valet key and left blinker on exit vehicle suggestions multiple times to no avail. Found another suggestion on this forum (that was warned against performing) which is hold left X button, microphone button on right, and hold brake. The car completely rebooted and everything came back on immediately and has been working flawlessly ever since.
I have put on 250 miles in the last 3 days and can report it's incredible. I am insanely impressed. SSP sounds amazing, excited for DDP to be updated along the way but works well at this point, charging on a 350kw was lightning, and the ride quality and performance are of course, awesome.
In terms of efficiency, which is a huge factor for me, I'm seeing 3.2 kwh/mi which does not surprise me, but is of course substantially less than the 4.6 Lucid has claimed. I have 21s so I'm aware of that, the temp has been in the 50-60s which makes a much bigger difference than people imagine, and the tires and drive motors are all brand new. So to me, this makes sense. I hope it improves and expect it will.

They told me the test drive units can't be loaned out. They did offer a $7500 credit to offset US tax credit miss. They did not offer a rental car or anything. After I cancelled, I told them it was a head scratcher they didn't at least offer me a rental car voucher or something. They then said they would look into that. The bottom line here is Lucid doesn't have inventory to make any concessions. In the end I offered to start taking a $5000 per month credit for every month that passed from Dec 31, 2022 where I didn't have my car. They declined and refunded all my money including the "non-refundable" $1000 initial deposit. It's all good though. I think Lucid gets it right with tech/engineering but has a lot to learn about sales and customer service. I did not want to start a relationship with them as I thought about the possibility of service or other things. Mercedes/Lexus/etc. are far better at customer service in my experience.
I understand this situation was terrible and I feel for you, but the reasonable thing to do would be to offer you credit on whatever payments you had to make but $5k/mo seems outrageous and a stretch.

I have only seen 1 VIN since Xmas and one delivery on the tracker this year. So, I’m a bit disappointed to no longer be able to monitor “progress”. But thanks for doing it.
