I think "I am supposed to have my VIN in a couple weeks, but have not gotten the same email. If that is supposed to be any kind on indication, then is my DA just telling me what he thinks I need to hear to remain a customer?" I will be interested to hear what people say that have gone through the process.

Has anyone gotten pencils recently?
Worldwide chip shortage is holding these up... it's the excuse everyone is using these days :D

I gave up on ever expecting the pencils and it just shows that if they can't ship a stupid thing like a box of pencils consistently then how they hell are they going to succeed in mass production, lol

I wonder if Lucid knows who’s already downloaded the app from Apple or Google. I downloaded it months ago to my iPhone, so if Lucid knows I already have it, I suspect I won’t get the download invitation email.

Well, my order date is March 9th, after yours. What color did you order? If gray, then maybe you’ve entered production sequence.

I just checked my app and it has changed from no car to an access denied.

No email here. I just tried to login to the app and it still says access denied. 🤷‍♂️
I think mine has been giving me that message for awhile. Still keeping the app on my iPhone. I may not have my Grey GT, but I’ve got the app!!
 
I did not have the App on my phone and got the "access denied" after I loaded it on my phone. I logged in on my computer and changed the password. I was then able to access the App. The App looks no different than if I logged in on my computer. Waited 10 minutes and I just tried to log back in again and now get "access denied" once again. Oh well.

Might just need a car before you can use the App. On the plus side, at least I got my pencils months ago, before the chip shortage.
 
I believe when you pickup the car, they will setup the app with you. No need to worry. Also, you don't need access to the app prior to having a car because you have no car to control.
 
So why is Lucid sending out emails saying download the app. And get familiar with it?

Yeah, my husband downloaded it during our walkthrough. There is really no point in installing it any earlier.
 
Also noticed there is a promo for the App on Youtube.
 
Is there another milestone to track? A couple of days ago my DA told me that the factory says I should get my VIN the first week in May. Today I got an email from Lucid inviting me to download their App and to start to become familiar with it. I wonder if this is a result of entering the actual production queue? Another marker in the production sequence? email telling to get the Lucid App 5 weeks before VIN expected? What do you think?
The app shouldn’t do anything until the car is connected to your lucid account (unless they’ve updated it recently). It might be a mistake in the CRM workflow.
