Ok, next one to check is if it's the rear vents! I've done that before also, and also one time the defroster vents were not check but the Air was coming out of there, a reset fixed it

A hard reset, either the turn signal one or the lock click one and walking away for a minute

We will aim to serve customers based upon their order dates, but we reserve the right to re-sequence orders based upon various factors, including but not limited to manufacturing availability, your Vehicle’s configuration, and location. Delivery and shipping dates are estimates only. Lucid is not liable for any delays in shipments.

Received a call from Millbrae concerning delivery this coming Sunday. We left a message with our DA that we were in Mexico until Saturday. Our DA never got back to us to answer funding questions. Funds transfer will really be an interesting experience over the phone with our local bank. Wonder if we can take delivery without paying? lol The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

We chatted last week and he stated these exact words “ your VIN is imminent”
I will give it a couple weeks and if I don’t hear back will increase the pester factor.

In a way , it may be somewhat beneficial for me, if Lucid has worked through a few more problems before they send a car to a remote location.

I am very concerned about my distance from any assistance when the inevitable problems arise. Even so, my enthusiasm hasn’t waned!!

Just tell them you will deal with it on Monday when you get back. I can’t imagine trying to deal with financials while in a foreign country. It’s wait, wait, wait for production and then a rush to get paid. Just pay when you are ready. They can wait. It will help that interdepartmental communication if enough of the customers tell them that.

As a suggestion I'm sure you've already tried, make sure you have turned the knobs to open the vents the right way. I only say that bc shortly after I got the car I turned them the wrong way. I could hear plenty of noise but no air. Was not my finest moment and I'm likely the only one with that sort of intelligence. But in case not, I figured I'd throw it out there.

Reserved White GT, Santa Cruz 11/1/21 and confirmed 1/11/22. No update on VIN or delivery
 
Advice on front Plate?

Texas has a front plate requirement (Rarely enforced). I have not seen a single picture of what the Lucid installation looks like. Does it require drilling into the front bumper? If someone posted pictures, that would help. Also, the other questions about how it installs. I have a retractable license plate kit that I never installed on my vette. Has anyone installed something like that? What other mounts have folks come up with? I am more willing to get a ticket than I am defacing my car, which gets here next week. I need to make the call on the front plate this week.

Did they ask if you planned to install a front plate? If so, they put the mount there for you. No drilling on our part and easy peasy to install the plate on top. It doesn't look bad either.

I'm attaching pics of mine from the top and side so you can see how it meets with the car. They did a good job on it.

I can either have it pre-installed or I can get it in a kit. What I am trying to figure out is if they drill the front bumper to do this and if so, are holes visible with it removed, or if they use adhesive.

Ok, I talked to the service center and yes they drill holes in the bumper to mount the kit. In fact, I was very specific that I do not want this done. The service center notes read "install plate mount on front" instead of my instructions. Since my car was delivered first to Chicago, the Houston center could not tell me if the car had already been "vandalized" with the installation. My DA did not have any answers, but he is following up and should let me know tomorrow. After all the issues and frustrations, I am considering just cancelling if it comes in with the mount I specifically refused. I have been looking at other options, such as hide-a-plates etc. (Comes out when activated via remote.)
