Dream Edition aiyoooo!

No invite here yet. Can someone place an order for me?
If only to add insult to injury, received an email to order a plain ol' vanilla GGT...boooo

I didn't get an invite either, but no need to get a nose bent out of shape. The Dreamers are doing the beta testing / manufacturing debug for us.

True. I would just complain about my doors and AA all day.

Going in wrong direction. Expecting them to deliver on what was ordered. I will give it until summer and if no visibility to production, I will move on. How about a survey such as that? When is your drop dead date for receiving what you ordered?

This just shows how out of touch this company is. There was an uproar when the Gravity Touring couldn't be ordered and the time it was going to take to receive. Instead of forging down the line to the cheaper model they decide to go in the opposite direction and release a more expensive Dream edition. Similar to when people were wanting to get into the Air Pure quickly Lucid threw the $250K Sapphire in ahead of them.
If they sell a few hundred of these, what’s wrong with that armchair CEO?

Looking for a dream edition gravity range edition: 500 miles. I would pay extra for that, but not the current available dream edition gravity.

I'm not sure why there's so much posting about a huge range penalty with the Dream Edition.

The Dream has an EPA range of 370 miles on the large wheels. A Grand Touring configured with the same wheels and 7-passenger seating has a range of 386 miles, i. e., a 16-mile range penalty.
And you charge to 80% to range hit is actually less

According to whom? I have no idea what the price difference is for the motor being different, plus all the accessories, plus the exclusivity.

It costs whatever people are willing to pay for it. I have no idea if they priced it too high, but I presume they have data and context I do not.
Says me. This is an Internet forum. :p
High priced variants have better margins. I'm not doubting their pricing, nor am I criticizing their decision from a business perspective. They should absolutely try to make as much money as possible during the ramp. Personally I'm going to wait.

That is if you were already getting the larger wheels on your GT that had the lower range.

It's a 67 mile hit due to option omission if you wanted the extra range and were ordering the base wheels which aren't available on the DE.

And an 80 mile hit if you didn't want the extra 2 seats.

Please don't hate but it looks to me like an upselling tactic due to limited supplies. It is understandable from company position to try to sell as expensive model as possible (profit margins) if you can't sell many units. I just wonder which model is going to be delivered first to general public GT or DE?

I think you're right. And the tactic makes sense for Lucid: given that (1) they "are expecting to be capacity constrained in the first couple of quarters" and (2) "a significant portion of the [existing Gravity] orders have a configured price of above $120k," why not add an even-higher-margin option at the outset? I am sure they will prioritize Dream Edition deliveries in 2025.

I was just in the San Diego showroom earlier this afternoon (we have a Gravity on order but have been waffling between getting an Air GT on short-term lease while the quirks get worked out of the Gravity or just going for the Gravity). The salesman told me to look for the Gravity Dream Edition email and said those were going out first (he specifically said "this spring") and then Gravity orders to existing Lucid customers (likely early summer) and then rest of the orders by late summer.

I wonder if there is a crazy plan to deliver all dream editions by end of Q1... and they have delayed some studio units to make that happen.

If you mean date for receiving before moving on, I hope others are better than me.

I joked about this, but if I'm honest with myself, until something better or as good comes along, I'll never get over not getting a Gravity.
It will always be in the back of my mind. Always peeking at this forum and weeping. :)
I hate you Gravity for doing this to me, but I love you. :)

My point: not sure how accurate survey results would be.
Who was being honest with themselves versus those kidding themselves. :)

Came in to read about the Dream edition Gravity but stayed for the rampant speculation and conspiracy theories...God I love this forum!🤭
