- 2022 Model X Plaid
I received an e-mail yesterday, and given how underwater I've been at work, I only managed to upgrade my order today. My invite referenced the fact I was being invited to order a Dream Edition because I'd already ordered a Gravity Grand Touring (image attached).
I chose to simply click the 'Design Yours' button instead of calling my specialist. Hope that wasn't a mistake. Interestingly, as I was reviewing each line-item in the checkout flow, I noticed my original $1000 deposit was applied to this upgrade (and, of course, I was charged an additional $1000 for the privilege
). I'd originally ordered with the Ojai Leather interior, but since that's not an option, I'm going with Tahoe, which I was originally on the fence about. But what the hell -- the additional HP is going to be soooo worth it. Remember, I'm coming from a Model X Plaid (1020HP), and occasionally lean into the full throttle (when conditions permit). So glad I'll have that and more in my Gravity Dream Edition -- and a chassis that can actually handle that level of performance (unlike the heavy, under-brake'd, lumbering Model X). New excitement level unlocked!
I assumed this order would push me to the end of the line, but reading comments up-thread, it sounds like the exact opposite is happening (Dream Edition production first, followed by GT). Fingers crossed. Sooo excited for us all!
