Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

I would have ordered the DremDrive Premium if it was available since the surround view camera was a compelling addition. Had to go with the DreamDrive Pro for that reason. I have used the highway assist and it's useful but you have to put weight with your hands on the steering the same way as if you were driving the car. That's for safety but if you have the adaptive cruise I think you wouldn't miss highway assist much.

Unable to make a decision so looking for your hive mind advise here. Have an opportunity get a used Touring for 15k more than my new Pure, but gets me DDP(Vaporware?)/SSP. Taxes/Insurance will also proportionately add up on the 15K. Any thoughts on if this is worth 15K to go for this upgrade, anyone in favor or otherwise?

They must not have updated the inventory page then as I can still see 5. Called my DA and he said they arent honoring old pricing if you want to take one of those. Not sure why. I'm trying to get more info atm.
Quick update here. I called this morning and a DA supervisor told me they'll be able to honor my original pricing if they had one that matched my order exactly which luckily one existed. Now waiting for my order to be transferred to the in inventory unit. If it works out and I'm able to take delivery of it, I'll post another update.

Tough call. $15k is a lot of money. If you chose a lease on your pure order, you'd also get the $7,500 tax credit applied as cap cost making it $22,500 more using that unique situation. You can always buy a used Touring or GT later if you felt compelled to. I bought my Model S Performance used and some poor person paid $12k for FSD and never got to use it. I paid the same amount as cars that didn't include FSD. Long way of saying DDP isn't worth the money.

I went down this rabbit hole, ended up with a used GT. No regrets!

Another quick update. The car was assigned to me and I was given a VIN number and now in the final stages. Delivery should be in 2-3 weeks. So for those who dont want to wait longer for your car, there's an option.

I'm selling my fully loaded signed Pure for 90k if anyone is interested. More info in classified section.

where is the classified section if you dont mind asking. tried typing "classified" in the search bar and looked around the site with no luck.....

That analysis is not accurate. The $7500 is off the full purchase price when leasing and is only partially reflected in the lease based on the end of lease residual percentage. The resales have all shown more significant depreciation than they should have, mine included. Best value will be a low mileage used car, unless the 3 years of unlimited charging is important to you. After driving a Lucid for 7 months, In my opinion SSP and DDP are unnecessary wastes of money.

Penultimate update: Delivery was revised as there was a truck Houston bound with room and is now tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday. I'll give a final update if it does happen as they say.

I also have the RWD but without DDPro and SSPro. Only upgrade is Fanthom Blue and 20" wheels. I did just see that there's a $550 upgrade for this "semi-active" dampers that I've never seen before. Besides that, I'll wait patiently. Maybe demand will continue to be slow where they'll offer the low APR % for the Pure. I'm in absolutely no rush to give Lucid my money or spend money on something that I won't really need (e.g. AWD) with a sedan (that's what my SUV is for) just to get it a few months earlier. You never know....they might drop their prices. No one expected Tesla to.

DDP is useful- surround cameras and blind spot cameras....I think they are worth it.

I don't think Lucid will drop prices. They will probably give incentives. For the base Pure, not sure....they are expanding overseas so they probably will have a higher demand than in the past.

Last time I asked people said the time between the car going into production and getting delivered was a bit more than a month, is it still the same or has it gotten faster?
