I have a Pixel 6 Pro with a leather case. When I first got my car, I was managing to get wireless charging maybe 20% of the time I would insert the phone. Sometimes I kept re-trying the insert until it worked other times just stored the phone there.
Now, 6 months later, I'm more like 80+% success. Maybe they were able to adjust the output or sensitivity but more likely over time it wears out the path the phone takes into the insert providing slightly closer contact.
My point is, maybe keep trying and you may see improvements too.
