October OTA Feedback thread

Len approved me for the update but apparently I missed it while being on a road trip with another car Oct 1, thru Oct 19. In any event thanks to all you folks out there Beta testing🍻

To Lucid, please get Apple Car Play going as I really need to be able to voice text and listen to texts while driving. FTR I don't know anyone that has Alexa app for texting on there phone, and while I know it's not polite to tell Alexa to F.O. when she mentions that the recipient needs to have the Alexa app, it just make me feel better for a second.

If you got approved, text customer service and they can push you the update. Maybe you are holding the rest back from the next update!

Where did you find this? Do you have another one that describes where the navigation module connector under the driver seat is located?
Came up with this on a google search.

The recipient does not need to have the Alexa app. You can text and play texts just fine on 2.0, through Alexa.

*You* need to have the Alexa app so it can access your contacts, but the recipient definitely doesn’t.

Always on.
Regardless what I do on the Iphone, uninstall, reinstall it will not work to open doors upon entry. When I try to link the mobile key, it show that it is connected.

I called CC this morning and they said it is a known issue with the bluetooth connectivity and they are sending it to the software engineers to solve the problem

In no particular order, here are the most significant bugs that I have found with 2.0.12. Paging @Firstto520

1. Tidal drops just much as before the 2.0 updates. It seems to drop based on the amount of time playing, instead of losing wifi. This will happen even when in a city with excellent Wi-Fi. It will come back on most of the time by itself, which is different than the 2.0 OTAs.

2. Mobile key does not work 75% of the time. *This is probably the second most serious issue.

3. Inability to schedule a charge. *This is probably the most serious issue.

4. Surreal sound is slightly degraded from 2.0.5 to 2.0.12. It’s a little harder for me to quantify this issue, but 2.05 seemed to have been more full with better base response.

5. Alexa commands do not work aprx 70% of the time. I did not get a chance to try it with the updates prior to 2.0.12, but from the other member videos, it seemed to be less buggy and responsive with 2.0.05

6. I am no longer able to use adaptive cruise control Independant of lane centering. I tried it with 2.0.5 and in that version I was able to use adaptive cruise control and then if I long pressed the Dream Drive Pro button (furthest left button on the steering wheel) it would trigger lane centering. Now, a single press on the DDP button will trigger adaptive cruise control and lane centering at the same time. I don’t think I’ve heard any other comments on this, so maybe someone can chime in if I’m doing it wrong.

7. Inability to zoom in on the map on the right panel.

Do you have 2.0.12?
If so, I would highly suggest the following steps ..
  1. ensure that Lucid App on your phone has location set to "Always On" and Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Remove the car/link from the Lucid phone app, then
  3. "forget" the bluetooth Lucid connection on your phone, then
  4. remove the mobile key from the car.
  5. Now add the car back on the Lucid app (and the vehicle) -- NOTE: for me, this generated a new bluetooth connection [w/ no options = not an Audio connection] .. in my case named, "Lucid-XXXXX" (where XXXXX = the last 5 digits of your VIN)
  6. At this point, I tested it by approaching the car and driving and .. both worked very well .. as I approached, the car unlocked and when I put it in Drive, it did not require a PIN
  7. If that works, click on the connectivity menu in settings (on Pilot Panel) and select Bluetooth .. you shouldn't see a Bluetooth link
  8. link/pair your phone via bluetooth and it should connect as a "car stereo" device (w/ options for syncing contacts).
  9. At this point, on your phone you should see 2 bluetooth connections w/ the car (at the same time) .. in my case the "lucid-XXXXX" connection mentioned above and another connection named, "Lucid Air XXX" (where XXX = the last 3 digits of the VIN)
Since I performed these steps, I have not seen an issue w/ mobile key or bluetooth audio working (w/ the exception of the car turning off bluetooth randomly upon startup and having to go to settings/connectivity/bluetooth to enable it again)

hope that helps.

Use the long press on the the lower left cruise control button to turn off Highway Assist and go back to ACC.

Don't page him, email him for a faster response: [email protected] be sure to include your VIN number and name (I think, its been awhile) and issues.

I thought I did that but I’ll try again. I think I’m the only one to report this, so chances are that it’s user error.

When you say text CS are do you have a specific number, or should I just contact the service writer I worked with at GI?

The service number located in the Lucid App

Prior to the updates I was unable to connect my phone for audio or phone to the car via Bluetooth. The mobile fob was working fine. I was told it was a IOS 16 issue. With the new update I was able to connect, but the weird thing was I needed to select my phone on the car to connect because the car didn't show up on the phone. That seems to have worked. The problem I am having is that more times than not when I get into the car and select Bluetooth audio it will tell me that the cars Bluetooth is disabled and I need to go into settings and enable it.

Yes, others have had this problem, including me:

Thanks for the that info, my car just updated this evening to 1.2.21.

I'm going to drive the car another day or two before deciding if I want to beta test as I'm still getting use to the car itself, I took delivery on 09-22 and then was out of town from 10-01 thru 10-19.
