Yes.And does it take into account your current speed/consumption?
Uh, honestly, I can’t, lol. But it’s not super fast; I just click it and click it again and hold it. I do not time it particularly carefully.Borski - RE: There was no way to open the trunk from the fob; now there is.
Can you please give me a timing estimate for the dot dash command needed. e.g.: Seconds on, seconds off, seconds on.
Thanks much!
I thought the fob always opened the trunk. That being said, the timing on the dot dash thing just isn't natural for me. Like I can't get it to work. It's far easier to push the button on bottom of the trunk to open it if I'm outside the car.Borski - RE: There was no way to open the trunk from the fob; now there is.

It's just click, release, press-and-hold for a second or two.Can you please give me a timing estimate for the dot dash command needed. e.g.: Seconds on, seconds off, seconds on.
Then tap your head and spin around 2 timesIt's just click, release, press-and-hold for a second or two.
that really isn't a big concern for me, with Lucid the service center is 2.5 hours away and I haven't had a need to visit with them, one time I had to use the mobile service for a minor issue, the hardest part of that was coordinating the visit. when I bought my first and second teslas the service at that time was also 2.5 hours away, more than once I had to have tesla come up with a loaner on a flatbed to take the car in for service, since then they've expanded their service centers and there is one about 30 minutes away from me but I no longer own a tesla. many other exotics don't have local service and those owners don't fret over the service calls. My ;ocal MB and porsche service centers will come to me and take the car in for service and return it on completion.I just got my AT and absolutely love it. I sold a one year old Audi Q8 at a huge loss because I care about the tech as well as the driving experience and my Lucid does it all. I live in NJ and one issue that they will need to address in order to reach more of the market is more service centers. They are opening one in north Jersey but that’s still over an hour for me. I knew this going in and was okay with it, but to attract many more buyers it is something they will need to address.
Thanks. I have never had much luck with it.It's just click, release, press-and-hold for a second or two.
I made a video demo.Thanks. I have never had much luck with it.
Thanks. I actually saw that video a few months ago. But you are doing 2 clicks and a hold instead of 1 click and a hold. Listen to the audio of your voice. You say "click click and hold."I made a video demo.
What I am correctly indicating inthe video is to make the first click and let go and then click and hold the button again. So it’s two motions.Thanks. I actually saw that video a few months ago. Well I had my Lucid for only two weeks and it just spent a week in the service center and so I guess every situation is different.that really isn't a big concern for me, with Lucid the service center is 2.5 hours away and I haven't had a need to visit with them, one time I had to use the mobile service for a minor issue, the hardest part of that was coordinating the visit. when I bought my first and second teslas the service at that time was also 2.5 hours away, more than once I had to have tesla come up with a loaner on a flatbed to take the car in for service, since then they've expanded their service centers and there is one about 30 minutes away from me but I no longer own a tesla. many other exotics don't have local service and those owners don't fret over the service calls. the moral to the story is that usually a new lucid should not require any sort of service and if it does arrangements can be made to get the car fixed.
I think unfortunately many people focus on the negative versus the whole package. Thanks for laying out your list that really helps frame the whole package.I was doing a little reminiscing today. I have now had the car for two years and five months and it's at 33,000 miles. As is true with any Internet forum, there tends to be a lot of complaining and negativity here. I would like to address some of the things where I've seen major improvement. This is not to say there isn't room for additional growth and improvement, but the car I'm driving today is significantly better than the car I originally bought. So next time you're about to write a post complaining about something… Consider these:
I'm sure you can think of others that I forgot, but I've never had a car that has been this much improved and transformed during my ownership. I'm thrilled about that. Cheers to Lucid, keep it coming!
- Boot up time: used to be close to a minute between opening the door and seeing the displays come on. Now it is instant.
- Blindspot cameras used to appear after about two blinks. Now they pop right on, and lately seem to be quite clear.
- 3-D camera system used to take a while to turn on after starting up the car. Now it is immediate.
- Surreal Sound Pro sounded OK to me, now it sounds fantastic.
- Fit and finish was a problem with the 2022 model your cars… I had quite a few service visits just to replace trim and line things up. Now the cars are coming off the line with a much greater degree of precision and perfection.
- CarPlay didn't exist when I got the car. Now it works very well. (Android users: maybe someday)
- There were many software bugs. Now there are very few.
- We didn't used to have a logo reset. We had to literally park the car, lock it with the valet key, and wait a while and then get back in and hope things were better. I don't reset the car much, but the logo reset is quite a bit easier.
- For a while, there was a huge Air logo taking up 1/3 of the dashboard. Now, the next navigation instruction and media information appear there as they should.
- We saw a lot of blowouts on the 21 inch Pirelli tires, although I personally didn't have any. Unbelievable amount of forum traffic about this. Now it seems the tires themselves have been improved and I haven't seen many since.
- The glass roof plus bright sun in San Diego made the car very hot, now we have these lovely mesh panels that work well for me and negated the need for an expensive tinting job on the roof.
- The car didn't originally have automatic dimming high beam headlights. Now it does.
- Drive Drive Pro didn't do much (Highway Assist/Drive Assist didn't exist). Now it does an amazing amount, and hands off driving will be coming.
- There wasn't a frunk button on the left panel so I literally had to get in the car and sit down to open the frunk. Now there is one.
- The HomeLink menu wouldn't pop on when the reverse camera was on. This caused a HUGE amount of forum traffic and lengthy threads. Now, it does.
- There was no Lane Change Assist. Lane Departure Protection did not offer all of the options it has now.
- There was no Curb Rash Alert. I thought this was silly when it was introduced, but I now depend on it when parallel parking.
- The car didn't have satellite radio at all.
- Schedule charging didn't exist.
- There was no way to turn the pilot panel off. Now it's just a double-tap away.
- HERE navigation was a complete disaster. I won't say it's perfect, and I really don't use it much, but others are reporting that it is significantly improved.
- Easy entry didn't exist.
- Max AC setting didn't exist.
- There was no way to deactivate passive locking/unlocking.
- The side mirror didn't tilt down when reversing, now I use that all the time.
- RangeXChange didn't exist. I have actually used that once to help a person who is in need.
- There was no Creature Comfort or Keep mode. It's actually nice to turn this on if you will be somewhere for just an hour or two on a hot day.
- There was no notice that regen was limited.
Welcome to the Internet.I think unfortunately many people focus on the negative versus the whole package. Thanks for laying out your list that really helps frame the whole package.
Ok - ThanksWhat I am correctly indicating inthe video is to make the first click and let go and then click and hold the button again. So it’s two motions.
No. He said: click, (pause, then) click & holdYou say "click click and hold."
