October OTA Updates

That’s not how the seat ventilation works. Please see the following post where I show (with picture) how the seats suck air from your butt:
I agree with you - it definitely sucks air out. But, empirically, when you turn on the foot vents the seat gets much colder. I do not know why it works, but I have tested it and it does, every time.

That’s cool! Heh
I wonder if this is how everyone does it? I guess it makes it slightly quieter this way.

Suck or blow, I am getting confused!!!!
I guess with a blowing seat ventilator, you can suck some cold air from somewhere and blow it over your body to cool it, regardless if you’re sweating.

With a sucking seat ventilator, you draw ambient air through your body and expect your evaporating perspiration to cool you. The ambient air gets drawn in too, but it’s probably not as cold as cold air sucked directly from below. Having the air vents blow cold air on your body probably helps too.

The rear climate control issue is not a personal preference. Previously, it would just be at whatever temp and fan speed I set it to. Step back into the car and hit "ON" and that's it. Now it sets it at 59F for some odd reason with fan speed at 1. The front controls are fine that way. Always at whatever latest temp and fan speed I'd set it to
We are seeing the same thing (V2.0.15)... it is highly annoying for our rear passengers (and us).

So my used car is coming with 2.0.24, what should I be expecting to see? Going from 0 Lucid owner to 2.0.24, so going to be really confused I think. My test drive was on 1.x

You’re going to see what DE owners expected to see at delivery…a good base to build on.

You're going to enjoy the fact that you don't have to install 5 upgrades over 3 days to get to that version.

There's one in the trunk. But hooking that up to the internet won't do anything, haha

Auto High Beam Assist, Connecting to your phone w/ Bluetooth the 1st time (instead of the 3-time's a charm routine)

One more thing... Driving across the country in this thing after pickup, so any advice for a 2000 mile road trip as a first time Lucid owner would be highly appreciated

I did a 600 mile trip. Was fine. EA worked well, but I did have to move the car once to a different charger. I used the 150 chargers; 350 occupied. Zero range anxiety after having my I Pace with 220 mile range and much slower charging.

You probably know more than you need, but in case you missed it, the EA 350kw are only really useful when you're down below 20%. The 150kw are nearly as fast at higher SOC.

FYI, the Lucid Nav can set EA as a priority (which I found useful). Otherwise, download the ABRP, EVGO, and Chargepoint apps, and cross check with the Lucid Nav when you feel the need. The range will make it easy.

Also, download the Tidal app, get your 3 month free code from Lucid, and set up some playlists. When you connect your phone the Tidal app on Lucid will pull the playlists you created and you're good to go!
