I would email Doreen Allen, senior VP of sales. She is wonderful to talk with and takes constructive criticism very well. I know she is always trying to improve the customer experience so definitely vent your frustration with her

I followed up with another email today. Expect to hear something by Monday or Tuesday from her. I mentioned specifically the items from the conference call. I guess it boils down to wanting it on a series of trips so I can avoid hundreds of dollars in gas. I had a couple in February which I was hopeful not really expecting it by then as those were in the 2-1/2 to 3 month range (from confirmation). It was more of an expectation by the end of next week for one as that was 3-1/2 months in. I fully felt that there would be no way it would not have arrived by my late April trip. That, I thought, was a no brainer. However, from where it stands today, I am feeling that having it by that trip is in doubt. I might not even have it in May for a cross-country trip at the rate it is going.
I’m in the same boat. Just over 3 months in and was hoping to have the car for a trip to DC and Philly at the end of the month closing out my 4 month window. Looks like I’ll be buying 5 dollar/ gal gasoline. In May I expect to start my spring/ summer trips, will I have the car then? Seeing as I’m waiting on white carpet of all things ( not chips or screens or other vital stuff) who knows? Well being philosophical maybe all the software bugs will be ironed out, and all the features will be enabled

As I was driving today, in the short period of time I've had the car, the user experience has already drastically improved since original delivery. I think new owners will be very happy and not suffer nearly as much as the early DE owners had to through software bugs. I think if the car were reviewed with its current software, it would have been a grand slam compared to reviewers holding back because of pre-production software demons.

How did this rumor start regarding the Santa Cruz? Peter on the call said they were having issues with glass and carpets, which I and others assume means the fit and finish issues with the remaining DEs are the Santa Monica carpets. No one has ever indicated there's an issues with the Santa Cruz carpets, unless I missed something. They're different interiors, aren't they?

The Santa Monica and Santa Cruz are very similar. Looks like the differences are the wood trim, front leather color and stitching. Otherwise, all the remaining white bits look like they are the same. So the DE carpets being an issue lends itself to having the Santa Cruz carpets also having an issue

I think it’s because they’re the same color carpet so people assumed they’re identical and will flow through to the GT’s

Are they actually the same color? I thought everything was unique in the DE? Maybe I'm wrong though...

Edit: I looked at Lucid's website and now see that both Santa Monica and Santa Cruz have ceramic colored leather in the back seats. Knowing that the carpets match the rear seats, I stand corrected in my earlier assumption of everything being unique in the DEs. My bad.

I think we also have some validation based on the board that 1) they are producing only Red, White and Black cars BUT 2) no one with a Santa Cruz interior in any of the batches as far as I know has received a VIN. Please correct me on the board if that is not right.

This is why we have a worldwide shortage of white carpet.

From speaking with my DA, it's clear that they are only given selective pieces of information. And it's also clear that some DAs have been trained in the art of giving non-answers. It's like when I asked my son if he vaped after watching a particularly incriminating video. His answer: "I do not have any vaping paraphernalia on my person at this time." It's a non-answer, but you can fill in the blanks.

With the clear production issues for the DEs, the blanks suggest that a four-month production timeline is the bare minimum for now. And if Lucid wants to be the anti-Rivian, they should own up to it and be more informative. With publicly acknowledged production cuts, what's the big deal with being transparent?

Fortunately, a few months from now, it may not matter as you'll be too busy enjoying your Lucid Air. Or in my case, a few months from now, I'll have forgotten that I was worried about Lucid delivery because I'll be too busy worrying about something else. Or because I'll be forgetting things in general.

Unfortunately not yet. I made some extra noise today and expect it will be Monday. How’s the drive?

Did they say what/why the hold up is for? Also, what drive are you referring to? I wasn't able to schedule a test drive when I went to the fashion square a couple of weeks ago

Not a real answer other than the car was still going through it’s pre-delivery inspection. My supposed Delivery person is now on vacation. Fortunately another delivery specialist has picked up the ball and understands my frustration.
I meant are you enjoying your new ride?

Oh I have just merely placed my reservation on 2/14..still waiting on a confirmation. Which is why I was wanting to come take a peek at it once you had yours delivered (Dynamite & Scottsdale Rd). Think you maybe talking about @Adnillien who just received his yesterday I think

You are correct! Sorry about that. Always dangerous responding on a small device!
I will be in touch when I have it.

Hey I just was requested to provide my Drivers License. Would any one have any insight on how long it is before I receive my Vin #?
