Lucid Air Grand Touring, Quantum Grey, Tahoe Interior, 21” Aero Blade Wheels

I was told this is the very first Quantum Grey delivered in Texas. It looks and drives amazing. Do not fear Quantum Grey - it looks top dollar. And yes, Lucid still have work to do on software (plenty of work). Also the bright Texas sun is reflecting some light colored dash stitching and chrome onto the windshield but this I can fix by covering it up if it continues to bother me.

Excellent, another March confirmation. Congrats.
 
I think there will probably be some emails burning their way to some DA's wanting to know how a grey was delivered to someone with those order characteristics before everyone on here with a November confirmation date, some of who actually reserved over a year before. Heck, I have the same VIN date, yet as far as I know, my car hasn't exited production.

I am happy for you and glad to see a grey car finally being delivered. Please post some pics.

Congrats. Happy for you but I am scratching my head on how Lucid prioritizes production and deliveries. I guess another email to my DA is in order to which I'll get the "every car has it's own unique journey" corporate babble reply. I'm expecting something extra from Lucid to make it right.

What are you expecting? Has something extra already been promised by Lucid? And is Lucid giving you something extra based on cars being delivered out of order or on cars being delivered later than promised?

Just want to know, as I only got a bottle of champagne when my car was delivered. :(

I was going to order white / santa cruz, but I'm pretty scared of those white carpets. I can't see keeping those clean in a New England winter, even with winter floor mats.

If a blue exterior option does become available before my car enters production I may change my exterior color.

Has anyone in Massachusetts gotten the 21" wheels? It seemed a shame to downgrade to the 19" wheels and not get some sort of discount for it. I will need a second set of 19's for winter though. I'm considering using the second set from my Tesla, if I can confirm they fit. I'll need to get new TPMS sensors though.

I ordered the 20" wheels for my AGT and may get a set of 19's for winter tires, although my last chat with my inside delivery advisor revealed that Michelin Alpins will be available for the 20" wheels. FWIW I ran my '16 Panamera GTS with 20" wheels and Sottozero winter tires and my 991 Turbo S with 20" winter wheels and tires with no problem in MA. My concern about the 19's is handling and braking, but I am sure that even the 19's corner well enough. I ordered Comos Silver, Santa Cruz, and will use winter mats.

Wow. Major congratulations are in order!
But like many on here, I continue to be perplexed by how Lucid is getting this done and I'm starting to take it personally. I switched to red from grey because my VIN was not forthcoming and now my car is stuck in the service center queue like so many others.
If I were running things, I'd think pretty hard about ensuring 100% of the November confirmations were delivered before I start in on the Decembers.
 
Based on what others have received, you got short-changed with only a bottle of champagne. ;)

I agree with the comment hove about November confirmations being delivered before Decembers, but, hey, it’s just par for the course with Lucid. It’s almost unconscionable that the car above was delivered before @Neurio ’s and others who ordered in 2019/20.

I have the same VIN date as the grey car just delivered, but my car is still stuck in production as far as I know with absolutely no delivery estimate other than “ we hope to make the 6 week timeframe”.

I have asked my DA for some sort of update and explanation, but I am sure I will be told about “ how every vehicle has its’ own unique journey”. I just wish my vehicle had decided on a more direct path. It begs the question, “just how bad is/was my car in production that it is not on the same journey?
 
I can understand the frustration with delivery orders. But once a VIN is assigned, it really needs to be attached to a specific car. And if that car has issues along the way of production, then it will get held back as other cars move ahead.

If Lucid were to insist on delivering in order of preorder strictly, that grey car above would have to wait, completely finished, in a lot somewhere until all the “November” cars were delivered. How would you like knowing your car was done, but it can’t be delivered because other cars have to be corrected first? What would that do to Lucid’s bottom line?

It does beg the question of what exactly went wrong with those earlier cars. But it’s probably a good sign that they caught the flaw, corrected it, and avoided the need for correction on later cars coming down the line.

Now, if it were my car, I’d obviously have a harder time being so unemotional about this…
