Air Pure - Metal Roof - Interior plastic piece in the center

Hi Lucid Community,

I recently noticed in my Air (metal roof) that there’s a piece of plastic right in the middle of the inside roof. Does anyone know what it’s for. The plastic piece pops out rather easily, and there’s a screw inside.

I was thinking it’d be neat to mount an iPad holder there for the kids

Can you take a further picture, perhaps with the piece inserted? I don’t have a metal roof but I imagine that’s the microphone array

Yup, that's definitely the microphone array. I do see your idea (kinda like a BMW i7), but the iPad may be too heavy and the microphone would be blocked!

That’s the microphone spot. Also that’s where you can tap the key card to bypass the pin to drive feature for Valet.
