Good day...Lucid world....
I have happily reached 12K in mileage and I am contemplating the 1 year 12,000 mile service, which apparently includes cabin air filter key fob batteries vanity visor batteries rotating tires and new windshield wipers... Seems to be things that I can do on my own ....but I wonder. Thoughts welcome,

There is nothing exactly on point in the warranty about whether skipping recommended maintenance checks could void the warranty. One clause could perhaps be interpreted that way, most likely if the owner had ignored a malfunction warning and thus caused further damage. It states as a reason to void the warranty:

"Failing to properly operate your vehicle in accordance with the specific instructions and recommendation regarding the use and operation of your vehicle as provided in the Owner’s Manual."

Since the Owner's manual does recommend specific service intervals, I suppose Lucid could rely on this clause in an extreme case to deny warranty coverage. But it's an ambiguous clause at best for Lucid to rely on in denying warranty coverage for skipping a scheduled service.

But I'd think of this another way. Owning a new car from a new company, I'd take every opportunity to have their service personnel put eyes on the car just in case something is going amiss that I might not notice in the early stages.

I just brought my car in for service to have a malfunctioning door handle repaired under warranty. In addition to completing the repair they discovered that my
third brake light had non-functioning "bulbs" (whatever you would call the individual lights) which they replaced under warranty as well. I may never have realized
that this was an issue . . . ever. Point being, why not pay for the 12K service (which I suspect is totally reasonable but don't actually know) and have them go over your car
thoroughly while it is still under warranty. Penny wise . . .

It's only about $400. Worth it IMO to give your car a look-over. There may be one or two TSBs they'll attend to as well.

I'm at 13k miles and haven't had any lights come on or anything. Was there an indicator that informed you that you should take it in for service? FWIW, my car's been in at the Lucid Service center over 10 times throughout those 13k miles for various fixes and adjustments.

No lights/warnings/reminders to get service.

There is no indicator currently, the service schedule is just in the owner's manual.

Can I just say....you peeps are awesome... I'm going to schedule it... They said $350 for the 12k maintenance and for piece of mind and just to talk to another like-minded Lucid human is certainly worth that $350.

I'll report back if there is anything of note. I drive her every day and I still get that "I can't believe I get to drive this" feeling.... It's just like when I drove my blue '60 Sedan de ville everywhere from 1999 to 2009.

Enjoy the spring time weather ...

There aren't any reminders but its pretty simple. 12k mile intervals or every 12 months.

QUESTION--do they come to you to do the service or is it required to take it to them? I am at 11k miles but closest service center is a 6 hr drive...

Lucid mobile tech came to my house for the 1-year service. My nearest Lucid service center is 3 hours away.

They were going to come to me to do mine, but then I ended up in the shop for other reasons, so they did it there. It’s definitely something mobile service can do. But check with your team, because it may vary by location.

I just went over 37K miles and went in for my 3rd "12K service". For each service, the basics were done, but in each instance, the excellent Service Center personnel in Natick have identified some items (large and small) that I never would have found. At the 24K service, their diagnostics identified a probable future issue with my HV battery pack, they ordered the parts, and my service was schedule once they were in and it was replaced. I had a loaner provided and my car was fixed promptly, which the Service Center consistently makes convenient arrangements to turn in and return my car each time. They also fixed a couple small items I noted (condensation in rear lights, etc) and they were all fixed under warranty. For my 36K service, a few minor issues (forward/reverse media buttons on the steerign wheel squeaked, rear shade struggles to raise - I keep it up most of the time, so whenever I reverse, it goes down and up), and they fixed these issues as well as finding an issue with the front light band and fixed that. I had never would have found it. There are a lot of "moving parts" in EVs, and it's worth it to have the pros do the looking before something can escalate.

Has anyone waited for the annual service at a SC? I have no idea how long these take assuming there are no unexpected issues.

They told me if no issues, it would be a day. (Costa Mesa). Since I had other minor issues that I wanted addressed, they estimated several days and had Hertz pick me up for a loaner. (All their loaners were out). Ended up with a BMW X2 for a week. Ended up needing an alignment which I suspected. They also fixed door trim issues, fixed highway assist by recalibrating sensors and lidar and realigned the rear trunk latch - all under warranty. So the grand total was $550. I think it's well worth it to have them look at your car at least once a year but if you are asking , can I rotated the tires, replace the windshield wipers, etc., the answer is you can do it yourself....

I could find LK1590 but not LAK 1590. So where do you find the cabin air filter?

I have been unable to find one. Even Malhe (manufacturer of the filters) does not have the filter available for purchase.

This is my one concern with this car. While service is great, they have sold less than 15,000 vehicle in total. Once Gravity starts sales this should double. They have not made parts or service information available to third party repair or parts centers. Other OEMs publish service manuals (Teslas are available on line). With the projected large increase in vehicle sales they need to look at making it easier for independent or DIY'ers to perform routine repairs and maintenance.

I absolutely agree with you. Lack of this information makes our insurance skyrocket because normal shop have difficulty estimating repair costs due to Lucid's refusal to work with the world and supply basic information. Also I posted this likely filter match: https://www.amazon.com/PACLVIO-Repl...26661--1-1-6839--1&vehicleName=2022+Lucid+Air
