Software update 2.3.0

OK...I don't have it yet, but I am disappointed that it does not have any "robust" enhancements!! I am hoping my GT is not feeling less robust this week since leaving Tucson to Avon, Colorado for a month. Hope to try out some of those great roads around the area.
BTW, I drove my spouse's 2024 Model 3 today with FSD...pretty slick in my opinion. Not super sharp on slowing down for turns but overall improvement. Ready for my DDPro features soon.

I thought that the door opened immediately when I touched it with the phone in my pocket. I did not pay attention to the other changes yet in 2.3.0

My range now shows like 4.2 kwh on my trip, I was always getting like 3.2 at max, I have the grand touring 2023, I now have 2,500 miles, did this update make the range better?

Award for joke of the year goes to….. 😂

I definitely wouldn’t be holding my breath on this one. The silence from Lucid is deafening and quite frankly beyond a joke at this point.

This is like standing at the head of the economy check in line with 1000 people in 1st class just blowing by you. I will continue to feign happiness for you all. I'm delighted that you were able to update so easily and quickly. *gritted teeth* AGAIN, SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU.

It's coming for you. Most of us have been on both the long end and the short end of the stick.

Considering the fact that I just got off an 20 hour long flight, this is so relatable. 🤣

I didn’t think it would be a big deal, but removing the extra tap for swift is really nice. I realized to switch into swift before I would have to take my eyes off the road to tap the confirm button. Now I can switch seamlessly without the distraction

Wait, you mean sprint, right?

For those of us still waiting for the update, there is still the soul encompasing excitement of anticipation, like christmas for a kid. Once i get it, when will i download it? How great will it be? Will there be easter eggs to find? Life is amazing and full of possibilities, colored in hues of intense violets, magentas, yellows, and greens. Soundtracked by the amazing charli xcx, bad bunny, the 1984, georgia satellites, and stevie wonder.

Those questions are already answered for you early update receivers. Don’t you feel like you just had the santa claus talk with your parents, and the world is painted with mundane shades of black & grey, with the saddest longings of christina perry’s jar of hearts, bread’s diary, and dan fogelberg’s auld lang syne making even the most gentle push on a soft closing door a sisyphean task?

Nay, i’ll wait happily.

Feel like my wife is gonna say i went overboard on this post.

I'm looking forward to you being wrong.

Installed ...no issues ..I have a pretty tight single car garage so I was concerned that the car would slam on the brakes while pulling out in reverse..but no issues so far...I also like that when you now press sprint mode ..there is a small info symbol that shows you how to do launch mode ...think it was a nice little touch which wasn't advertised....which then makes me wonder what else they didn't advertise but is there ...hmmm....

That launch mode info button has been there for a while

Huh ..I've only had the car for 18 months ..and drove in sprint a fair bit...didn't see it..! 😕

So Friday afternoon ....finally got my update notice! Woo-hoo! Is there anyone left on the "early" list who hasn't gotten the update yet?

We have had FSD in our July-2018 build Tesla Model X since almost FSD’s first release in about early 2020. Back then, I was both impressed and terrified by it. I also remember it being very, very raw in execution.

Today, I turned on FSD on San Diego’s city streets, something I had not done in a very, very long. It had certainly been well over a year since I thought to use FSD anywhere other than on a freeway. I have to say, I was very, very impressed. Other vehicles, narrow roads, narrower pass throughs around other vehicles, distracted pedestrians, pedestrians hanging their toes over the curb, unsure of whether to cross or not, three and four-way STOP sign intersections, merging lanes, diverging lanes, whatever - FSD handled them all. And unlike previous trial runs on FSD, I only intervened once - nearing the end of my city street trial with FSD, the car would not turn into my driveway. Instead it pulled over so that we ended up on the opposite side of the street to my house. I had to manually take over at that point, to turn my car onto my driveway.

I realise now that several, little OTA updates that Tesla had been sending, over the last several months were actually subtle but important improvements to FSD. FSD is quite a different creature now. I find myself engaging it with a lot more confidence on city streets than previously.

It took years for Tesla to refine FSD to the point where it is now. I expect it will take Lucid as many years if not longer to get to the same point with their Dream Drive Pro.
