I’m not sure that this is correct. Range on arrival implies only during the use of navigation. It has nothing to do with the number that is always present below speedometer.
yea i know. I mean the navigation estimate. That one also uses something close to EPA for it's estimate.

The navigation estimate has been fairly accurate and much lower than the EPA numbers. I find it is only off if I have a large elevation gain in the trip.

This is not correct. The range on arrival has always done an estimate based on highway speed, altitude and other factors and has been quite good. I believe the improved version in the OTA inculdes recent driving to account for headwinds or other factors about individual driving habits.

no it's not. I've seen it even worse than the EPA estimate at times. i.e. 5 miles to destination and it says i will only consume 4 more miles of range. Obviously when i get there the actual consumption is like 7 or 8 miles.

It's also obvious that it doesn't take any factors into account, because if you turn on the AC or seat heaters, or HVAC, or increase your speed, the estimate range of arrival doesn't change. That means it can not be accurate period.

I agree. I used to get reasonable estimates of range remaining at destination, but several months ago the estimates lost all connection with reality. Still haven't received the new update ....
 
I've used the navigation range (miles on arrival) when it's been 10F. Over a 150 mile trip it was off by 15 miles and all of that occurred in the last 5 miles where I'm gaining 1500 feet in elevation.

On the return trip it usually says I'll use 150 miles of my range and corrects after the first 5 miles down the hill so the trip only uses 140 miles of my range.

Again very accurate other than the elevation change.

My experience is that the software can in no way estimate the use of battery life when A/C, Massage, Infotainment usage etc are on. I can understand that it is almost impossible to figure that out because the power consumption for the AC would fluctuate based on the outside temperature. I have the update and would know better over the next couple of weeks.

I drove down to the Oregon coast last month in my GT and with 50% battery left, nav told me my range at arrival was 260 miles. My lifetime average is 3.5 miles/kWh and on that trip I was at 3.9. I've never gotten more than 430 miles on a full charge.
 
After around 3k miles of driving in the last 6 days and using Lucid navigation exclusively, the arrival range was very accurate. This was setting cruise within 5mph of posted speed. If you are that far off on range on arrival, look at your speedo. The higher that number is over posted speed limit., the more off the range on arrival will be. I found nothing impacts it more than speed. Hills, wind, heat, cold, or a splattering of bugs in Nebraska. Speed kills efficiency.
 
I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen anyone mentioning that they received the update today. I had previously conjectured that perhaps the update is on hold. Just wondering.

It is still rolling out.

I just received the notification about 5 hours ago. Currently installing now.
 
My AC is too cold. Maybe it has something to do with glass roof and AC. I have the metal roof and seriously on a hot day I have to turn the vents always from me. I’m frozen.
Same. I think the glass roof looks great, but I’ll take better insulation and heat mitigation from the metal roof.
 
I am on the Early OTA Update List, and just got notified, but I think I'll wait until I'm back in town before I install it.
 
Pardon my ignorance, but why are OTA slowly being rolled out to the owners? Is it a bandwidth capacity issue or something else?
 
Newbie question. Got my Pure on 6/30 so this will be my first update rodeo. How will I know that it is available? Will the app have a message? Will the car tell me when I get in?
Can I update and charge at the same time?

Typically OTA updates are rolled out relatively slowly with most companies to ensure there are no issues. This ensures that an entire fleet is not bricked by a defective update.
