Software update 2.3.0

URGENT: I have seen the 2.3 update killing all cameras. Everyone is reporting the same issue on all the Facebook groups. Thid is apparently a big problem. How do I prevent the update and how soon will there be fix? Is there a LUCID employee on here that can report this major problem please?
I’m on those Facebook groups as well, and have only seen one post regarding this specific issue and update. A couple of people commented that they’ve had cameras go out on other occasions, but it sounds way more catastrophic when you say “everyone is reporting the same issue on all of the Facebook groups” when that simply isn’t true. If you want to wait to accept the update, just don’t tap “install” when you get the notification. I’ve seen several people do the update without issue though for what it’s worth.

I don't mind at all if others get it and test it and report any problems before I get it. I don't think I will notice much difference in the update where I drive. They did not add any new features in DD at street level or maps that I would use and notice.

We updated to 2.3.0 yesterday and the first time we used the car, it stopped suddenly when backing out of the garage. However, we put it in reverse once again and we went on our way with no further distractions.
That's the new reverse/parking feature. You can turn it off or set it to late intervention.

what's the temperature at your location? my cameras stop working when it's 100F outside.
Yeah, that's not right. I've been in 100F+ weather multiple days over the past few weeks and my cameras are all working flawlessly. Contact Lucid to get them looked at.

I don't think the whole early update list is something Lucid is following anymore. A lot of things have changed between when they set this up and now. Whatever the intention, it does not seem to have panned out. Pretty typical with young companies trying things out. Doesn't always work.

For one thing, it was never meant to apply to every update. Only for "major" ones, whatever that means to Lucid. And even then, we never really saw any significant difference for folks on the list.

Best to let the whole concept go in your minds and just go back to the original OTA expectations. Which is, wait a week or two; if you still don't have the update, then start to question it.

Just trying to save some folks from any anxiety on this.

Not to mention the “URGENT” start to the message.

Did Lucid started delivering 2025 Air Touring’s? OP signed-up yesterday and report this issue saying many users are affected and didn't have a verified owner badge.
Dont take me wrong, when ever there is a good news on Lucid, i see many people posting negative articles with no base to support it.

I have a 2024 touring that I picked up 2 weeks ago. I’ve been following this forum for a while but yeah just made my account yesterday. I knew some software issues were going to occur.

I’m working with customer service to get it fixed. Will update.

The cameras never stopped working for me even at 115F. Mine is on 2.2.10 as of now.

This may not have anything to do with it, but both folks reported the issue is on 2024 AT. I'm just sharing a data point based on two people reporting a camera issue on Facebook.

You’re thinking of a different list. What people are referring to is this thread from just a few months ago: https://lucidowners.com/threads/closed-be-among-the-first-to-receive-ota-updates.8757/

That said, we were never told if or when that list would come into play. It is entirely possible they are simply not using it yet. Nothing to write to your senator about.

FWIW I have a 2024 AT, in 110F+ weather the cameras work fine (not updated to 2.30 yet. However, I get a "Front Camera Fault" and "Headlight Control Fault Headlights On" errors every time I start the car after it's been toasting under the sun. The errors ask to contact customer care but I never did because they disappear immediately and the camera works fine.

Yep ... I get a front emergency braking and lane keep assist error as well. Speed limit sign detection also doesn't work. Happens only when I park outside in the blazing heat!! I did have my Fasttrak transponder mounted right uniter the mirror/camera assembly which was possibly blocking some ventilation. Will have to test again next time I'm in an uncovered/hot spot!!

This has been happening to me off and on through the summer. It will eventually reset once the top camera pod cools down a bit. I've taken to aiding it along by turning on the windshield vents with the AC running. Usually clears the errors in a few minutes.

"estimated range on arrival" FINALLY. I'm glad Lucid finally giving us an accurate range estimation. That'll be so helpful when planning drives instead of always estimating at 4.7 miles/kwh🫠
I’m not sure that this is correct. Range on arrival implies only during the use of navigation. It has nothing to do with the number that is always present below speedometer.
