Referral points issue

I had referred a friend to purchase a Lucid during the double points promotion that they had a few weeks ago. My friend actually did put in an order for a car, but by the time the car was delivered the promotional period had ended. Lucid is telling me that because delivery was taken after the promotional period ended, that I don’t get the double points on the referral, but doesn’t that seem like a strange stance to take considering that we as owners don’t have any influence on when a car is to be delivered. We can tell somebody how great Lucid is and that they should go buy one, which is what I did, and an order was placed on that referral. But then I just got the standard 8000 points for an air touring instead of 16,000.

Well, the rules of the promotion stated pretty clearly delivery had to happen before March 31. So, I agree the rules were probably not great, but those were the rules.
 
The same thing happened to me. It was ordered in March promotion but I just got standard 8000 points on my two referrals.
 
I must’ve missed that in the fine print. But still, the concept seems a little flawed.
 
Yeah, I agree the concept was flawed, since it’s out of your control. But the terms were very, very clear, imho. We even discussed it here on the forum.

I made a referral for a Touring that was delivered in March and never received points. I emailed Customer Care. They said they would look into it but no response.
 
I got lucky and did receive double points on a referral!

Follow up. The referral system is new and imperfect, but they *are* trying. :)

Yeah, I'm missing a number of points as well. It's happened to me before, and they resolved it eventually. I'd follow up with them if you don't hear back for a bit longer.
