Replace entire HV battery?

I a gf ree on service in Richmond, good shop. At what mileage has battery failure b3en happening?
It's not common, and not related to mileage.
 
Just had my battery replaced by the VA Shop. Russell and team were aces, had a loaner. Like some others, I had no idea anything was wrong they called me and said it needed to happen. I'm looking forward to seeing if I get better mileage on road trips as I've driven back and forth from Raleigh, NC to St. Augustine, FL 3-4 times...and I never quite made it as far as I thought I should...
I got a new HV battery/WunderBox at 18k miles. Remote diagnostics alerted them there was a fault, so they got me a loaner and found one module’s ground had a resistance of 0.3 ohm instead of zero so they replaced the whole thing plus WunderBox and charging cable. I’ve noticed no difference in efficiency with the new battery pack. With how I drive in New England (mostly over the speed limit, steep incline on-ramps) I get about 3.5-3.6 mi/kwh on 19” wheels which I have no complaints about. On steady road trips with reasonable temperatures going 70-75mph I’ll get 4.0 mi/kwh.

Your question was answered earlier in this very thread, usually 2 to 4 weeks depending on parts availability.
 
I had just the HV battery replaced early last month at the Natick SC, and it took one week. When they did the final road test before returning it, however, they heard a noise up front and discovered one of the motor mounts had cracked (they said it probably happened when they were removing the battery pack and could not have been any fault of mine). It took a couple days to get the parts, but I had the car back in 12 days total, so I had it in time for a planned road trip. Excellent service, and I had a GT 20" loaner for the duration. Hated the white interior.
 
Had mine. Took a week or two. Had a loaner in the meantime.

Service was excellent and nobody has ever had a recurrence after the replacement, so you’ll be good to go.
Mine too, took 3 weeks though, no service center anywhere near me.
Had $100/day reimbursement for a rental, I went to Turo.
 
Just got the call that my HV battery needs replacement. Like some of you above, I had no idea anything was wrong until I got a call about it. They're picking the car up tomorrow and dropping off a loaner. 2022 GT with 12,400 miles on it.
 
Has anyone had their entire HV battery + WunderBox replaced? What was your experience? How long did it take?

Apparently this is about to happen to me. They’re not yet sure—though they’ve now had the car for a full week. Not what I bargained for when I bought the car, to put it mildly.
Mine was done a month ago, it went in for recall and they said battery too, now I have whole new battery system. Richmond shop had it done in a week, They picked it up and brought it back no problem. I'm in WV, so not close to much. No problems prior and none since.
 
I understand that’s the choice they’ve made, and IMO it’s a mistake. They’re creating a cadre of extremely unhappy new owners. Because of cash flow? We’re the people who after six weeks of ownership would be evangelizing Lucid (as you are).
I agree. I understand that there may not be enough Lucids to have Lucid loaners. I can also understand using a car rental company. But what I would expect is that either way, I would immediately get a vehicle that Lucid owns or is renting for me and one that is roughly equivalent to the Lucid, even if it is an ICE vehicle. Given that, most folks will not complain about the length of service, etc.

My BMW dealer always had a loaner for me. During the pandemic, when there was a car shortage, at one time they had an arrangement with Hertz. But it was seamless. I went to the same loaner counter, did the same paperwork with the same dealer personnel, and left. When I returned the Cadillac it was the simple reverse, drop off the car, leave the keys, get my paperwork and leave.

For what it's worth, they gave me an Air Touring loaner today when they picked up my car. It's beautiful and only has 345 miles on the odometer, and seems to have a lot of options. I'm going to be very happy driving this beautiful car until I get mine back!

That is what I meant. Now Lucid has a happy customer who won't mind if it takes a little longer to fix his car. I have had loaners in my life for extended periods and so long as they were decent loaners, I didn't mind.
