Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Just spoke to my DA today and he told me that my VIN assignment would come anywhere from the 1st week of December to the 3rd week of December. Unfortunately, he was not optimistic that the car would be delivered by EOY as he said it would go from the factory to Chicago and then to my local Lucid studio in NJ for me to pick up. He didn't say that there is no chance at all, but it was "not likely". This is for a Stellar White/Tahoe AT with DDP and SSP.
He did say that he would do everything he could to expedite the process, but I'm not sure how much he can really do. He did also mention that I could fly out to Chicago to pick up my vehicle directly after PDI and save the time it would take to ship to NJ, but that seems like a loaded proposition considering that I would have to not only fly to Chicago in the middle of Winter, but also drive my car back to home with unpredictable weather conditions.

So Joe - to add to your work...I have upgraded my Touring Gray/Mohave/19 to a Grand Touring/Gray/Tahoe/19 with delivery likely in the next few weeks. Been a crazy few days.

More or less. That is the way it started. They have a few more in inventory than listed. I had a chance for 2.8% financing and delivery next year with new pricing or bank rate financing and delivery at my original pricing in the next few weeks. I took the latter. The car I wanted off their list was gone so this was a second choice. Still happy but spending more which makes them happy!
Main driver was the extra range.. but the rest is OK too!
Just as a another data point, I went to the studio in Tysons Corner and chatted with a DA Charles there via an associate. I was told that I should get a vin likely within the week or week and a half. I'm locked in with a Zenith Red loaded and 19" wheels. I related to the adviser I would change my wheels to the 20" inch wheels if it weren't going to be delivered this year. He advised me to stick with the 19" wheels and I "should" get my car delivered this year. For what it's worth they feel pretty confident about getting the fully loaded tourings to those that have ordered them, it would appear. Fingers crossed!

All colors of fully loaded ATs?
Seemed that being fully loaded was the only qualifier, but he didn't specifically say all colors. I took it that way though.

Just got a call from Lucid delivery agent. Looks like there's a few days delay on their system as I already cancelled my Touring several days ago and it does show cancelled on my online account but my order still went to the DA team. I panicked for a bit thinking if Lucid perhaps canceled the wrong trim!

Email. Communications hasn't been one of their strong points. Peter needs to have a chat with Jeff about online ordering, tracking and customer service
Any one upgraded from Pure to Touring and received the invitation to finalize their order? It has been crickets for me with no response. How long did it take for you to get the invitation to finalize the AT order after the upgrade?

I upgraded from Pure to Touring on October 17th and received an invite to confirm on Nov. 8th. Have you logged into your account to see if you can confirm?

Keep checking your Lucid online account. Several AT customers including myself never got the email invitation because we got a heads-up to check our Dashboard. Sure enough there was a new Finalize button that was active. I probably didn't get the email because we beat them to the punch...
My online account still shows Pure and I have been checking both the emails and the online account on a regular basis. I received one email from Lucid Sales indicating they received the additional $700 reservation funds but the order details in the online account still shows $300 deposit only. Given @MorganB timeline it took 3 weeks to receive the invite to finalize, so I guess I should not expect a 2022 delivery anymore.
