Anyone just get an email from lucid communicating price increases of GT to 154k and asking to confirm order by June 30 to lock in the original price??
June 1st is the price change per press release.

As of June 1, new reservations will be priced in the U.S. at $154,000 for Air Grand Touring, $107,400 for Air Touring and $87,400 for Air Pure.(3) The price for the new Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance model, announced just two weeks ago, will remain priced in the U.S. at $179,000. These prices are for base models, before the potential $7,500 U.S. federal tax credit, and excluding tax, title, license, options and destination fees. Updated pricing for Canada will be available on Lucid's website, www.lucidmotors.com/en-ca, on June 1, 2022.

And the foot notes…

(1) 516 mile EPA estimated range and 4.6 miles per kWh driving efficiency are for Air Grand Touring equipped with 19" wheels. Actual results will vary.

(2) All existing reservation holders as of May 31, 2022 in the U.S. and Canada will have an opportunity to order under the original pricing and will have at least 30 days from the date they are invited to place their order. Canadian pricing increases not currently available.

(3) Before potential $7,500 U.S. federal tax credit. Excludes tax, title, license, options and destination fees. Pricing is not currently available outside the U.S. and Canada. Additional state and local incentives may also be available. A tax advisor should be consulted regarding individual tax treatment.

Why does it seem like there are so many cancellations? I wonder what the reason is
1 - Inflation and economic uncertainties with global supply chain issues and war in Ukraine.

2 - Tired of waiting. (I almost give up too, but I’m glad I didnot and got this best ride ever, kicked Lambo’s ass!!!!)

3 - More new comer EVs being announced every month.

Took delivery of my Zenith Red Air Grand Touring today. Wonderful delivery experience at the Scottsdale, AZ Service center. My daughter Lucy about to enjoy a day 1 ride...

I almost chose this license plate bc “LUCID” and “LUCID 1” were taken in my state. Now you have reason to use that plate. 😆

Probably the interest rates on a new car loan. They have gone up 1-2% in the last few months.

Yeah, 30 days from May 31, so June 30 to confirm
30 days from the invite to confirm. That won’t be until later in the year for a T or P but could be 30 days from reservation date if you place a GT reservation on 5/31

The wording on the price increase is ambiguous at best. Must have been an engineer who wrote up the main notice and footnotes. LOL! The main notice says you have until June 30 to confirm your reservation if you made your reservation before June 1. The footnote(1) in the details said you have at least 30 days from the date you are invited to place their order to confirm your order. This really means that once you have been invited to place your order today, for example, you must confirm by June 30. So if you have been invited to confirm anytime between now and June 1, you must confirm by June 30, or maybe longer? If you have reservation before June 1 but are invited to confirm your order after June 1, it says nothing about that scenario, but I would assume you would have 30 days to confirm your order after the invite. So if you have a reservation before June 1 and are invited to place(confirm) your order on say June 25, then you will likely have to confirm the order by July 24. Or later? Sound confusing? Yes it is! Lucid needs to clarify! Call your SA to esplain!

After waiting 3 years for the invite I confirmed within 5 minutes of the email! Just hoping the VIN arrives before I am too old to drive…..😊

Cancelled silver 3 weeks ago because I was told might be July or August. Changed to white. Got a call last week about cancelled order that had my exact specs. DA called and asked me if I wanted it. Said yes! Car left AZ last Monday. Purchased vehicle through BOA financing on Monday. Have delivery scheduled for Tuesday!!!

I also confirmed 12/14/21 for a Grey-Tahoe, and I’m an hour away from Chicago. ::looks at you sternly:: ::shakes head:::
Seriously though, congratulations! Hope it goes smoothly.
@oldnick25 and I exchanged some friendly direct messages. Turns out my DA was given some bad info about the car. It’s actually still in Casa Grande, not in Chicago. Might explain why the car was offered to me and not to @oldnick25.

I don’t think it is confusing. You are not going to get an invite until the production window indicates they can deliver within 2-4 months after the invite. If you get one today, or on 5/31, presumably would be a GT, then you would talk to your DA about wanting to delay, perhaps delaying to see the 20” wheels or silver paint begin production. At that point they would likely grant a delay until that time to hold the price. If they cant or aren’t ready to make your car, why could you confirm?
