So just received a call from person in Riviera Beach doing my walk through tomorrow. Delivery is now postponed. Service manager told him the car is not ready to be released. No explanation. No idea of timing. I reminded them if I can't get it by Friday, they have to ship to CT. No explanation is infuriating.

I thought the service center communication was better than from the DAs. Guess not?

What are the chances... I recently learned that my brother in law ordered the same car (GT), same exterior color and same wheel size (he went mojave interior, I went tahoe). We never discussed buying a Lucid prior together, I don't think. What are the chances.

Black/Santa Cruz GT. VIN dropped today

Received VIN by email 3/29 without any indication of production timing. Received a phone call today from DA stating the car was built and ready to be loaded on a carrier for shipment, expect delivery in next 10 days.

In the you can't make this up category, they somehow installed Tahoe interior doors with my Mojave everything else. They creatively gave me an option to leave car in Florida, install the correct panels and then ship car to CT or I can take delivery tomorrow and they can swap the door panels in CT. I had a third option that since I will be back once or twice over next 6 weeks and have PPF and ceramic coating lined up in Florida as well as a planned road trip to CT that I will pick up car tomorrow and when they have a better idea when panels will come in, we'll arrange the panel swap in Florida. I give them low marks for quality control (I mean you can't have two more different looks) but high marks for trying to make things right. And yes I will post pictures of the only Tahoe/Mojave color combination that will ever occur.

I am supposed to get an update on Thursday. Hopefully, there will be something to pass onto those interested. I am not holding my breath though. I have let them know what I think of this "grey delay" and I would have thought they would have wanted to relay any remotely good news proactively. No communication leads me to believe they have no good news to tell. I have also had my DA tell me that he would let me know as soon as the first VIN is released for a grey car. So, either there have been no VIN's released for a grey car or he was just trying to say something to try and keep me happy at that moment with no real intent to follow through.

I'd be interested to hear what he has to say tomorrow.

Honestly? I think that’s my second favorite interior behind Santa Cruz haha. I’m not saying it wasn’t a screw-up, but I’d be hella tempted to keep it that way
