Doors painfully slow to unlock…

I had my car in the shop for door handles not responding appropriately and after investigation they concluded it was software. Update said to be coming. The GT loaner I had did not have an issue but numerous other vehicles at the shop site did have the same issues as mine. My handles do not work with an active unlock but do fine with passive. And the beat goes on.
I have same issue I should say the handles don’t work consistently …

My car will not wake upon pressing the driver’s door handle. It is not an issue with the fob battery or the iPhone. It will wake pressing in the passenger side handles.

Based on my interaction with Lucid Engineering, my understanding is that this is a software issue that will be fixed with an update.
This would be awesome I have same issues can’t wake the car up by pressing handle but once it’s awake door handle press active unlock works

Just found out now my lucid app on my phone is under "optimized" battery, made it unrestricted and will see tomorrow if it's more instantaneous... every other setting seems maxed out in terms of permissions (location all the time, etc).

This change seemed to fix my mobile key issues on my Rivian, so hoping it's just that.
Unfortunately that didn't fix it. All my settings are now maxing out the app permissions and battery. I still have to open the app to wake the vehicle up before mobile key works. Without doing that, I've waited up to a minute and it doesn't work.

I feel your pain. My mobile key worked flawlessly for months and started get slower and slower to a point that that I have to wake up the car with the mobile app for my mobile key to work. After IOS 17 update, I decided to remove my mobile key and to recreate the mobile key to see if it helps to unlock the car quicker. Yesterday morning, I enter my garage with my iPhone on hand, the car unlocked without any issue.

It’s been working very well with iPhone lately.

I haven’t use my fob in over a year, except for valet purposes. Mobile key has been rock solid on iPhone but I understand there are some challenges on android.
Same

Well, I disagree with your first statement, I haven’t had to “click a button” in probably 15 yrs. This is the first car I’ve ever had a problem with since the advent of keyless entry going back to my first experience with it in my 2003 Mercedes. As far as a battery, I will give it a try simply because it’s cheap and easy, but this has been going on for several months, often works like it should, sometimes gives me problems. I would think a weak or dead battery would cause it to fail most of the time. I would also think it wouldn’t allow the car to drive, and might even pop up a message about key fob battery being low on the screen (several of my other cars do that, not sure if the Lucid has that ability or not)
My bigger issue is it never stops locking and unlocking and waking when I’m in my yard.

My doors are slow to unlock solely because of my android phone. No matter how I try, the phone eventually puts the app to sleep and I have to open my phone and app if too much time has elapsed from the last use. I could save myself the irritation by using my iphone but I'm stubborn 😅

Lock it so it doesn't

Mine is consistently inconsistent. I only use the Mobile Key with my iPhone 14. Sometimes it acts like I would like, sometimes (more times), it doesn’t. I have just given up and accepted the finicky behavior.

If I am working in the garage without the need for the car to unlock, it will do so ad nauseum. It seems to just like to resist unlocking when I really am trying to get back in the car, go figure.

I just chalk it up to good intentions, bad reality.

Also it doesn't give the option to keep open

Agreed. I've resigned myself to this nuisance being the one that never gets fixed. I also wish that the @Bobby and @borski experience with their keys was transferable to the rest of us somehow. I envy them.

@hydbob
Yes, I have it set at unrestricted too.
But if enough time elapses, the car does not open when I approach it. I have to unlock the phone and click on the app. My iPhone doesn't seem to have that issue

Mine immediately unlocks if I get near it from the front in the garage. Walking up to it in a parking lot... it takes 10 seconds after getting to the car. Just enough time to be awkward. It's frustrating.
