Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

I suspect the 2.0.59 update includes improvements for this.

I drove many hours in the rain after the update and did not get the warning. But, I also had ceramic coating done. So, it could be either.

I did get the warning the first time I drove in light rain, though (the day I took delivery, in fact).

I wondered the same thing. Having watched Youtube videos of owners picking their Lucid Air, I watched some owners had a bag, a water bottle, and caps included in their car. When I picked up my car, I received nothing, nada - not even an envelope or a vanilla folder for copies of documents I signed just before keys were handed over to me.
This was my experience as well. They did provide a Uber/Lyft to the service center and had snacks on hand but no gifts or paperwork. Still waiting on the updated Monroney.

I'm starting to wonder if each DA has a spiff budget for a car delivery. In our case, they flew my wife and me from Portland to Seattle (cost $500-ish) and provided the necessary Lyft rides in between (cost maybe another $100-ish). We got no other goodies: No wine, no caps, no t-shirts, no surprises in the trunk. I am *not* complaining: I felt we received outstanding treatment every step of the way and I am solidly happy with the delivery experience. But reading the experiences of others does make me wonder if Lucid has baked in a budget for goodies associated with each delivery.
I took delivery on March 24 at Millbrae, and received a water bottle. But the DA told me management had just informed them that they'll stop giving those out.

I have so many water bottles at home, I don't wear hats, and I already have reusable shopping bags. I just want to drive the car. I'm okay with no swag. People getting flown out for their cars is kind of unheard of. Back when the German manufacturers had car pickups in factory you had to buy your own flight. These programs sadly are discontinued by the German luxury car makers.

Lucid makes an amazing driving machine. Enjoy!

"Lucid DE Number" is this just for the dream edition or do all the cars have a DE number?

I got my Touring delivered on March 19th, and they gave me the bag, water bottle and cap. I guess it differs with each site

I always thought the swag was a marketing exercise. If I'm sat in the office using the water bottle or wearing the cap, free advertising for Lucid!

Took delivery of my Touring yesterday at Plano studio. It’s been amazing so far.
Just some very minor trim issues that I pointed out at delivery.
Apple Car play has hung up on me a couple of times. Lucid UI is growing on me.

While in rush-hour DNT traffic, the car mistook my right lane for parking spot and suggested that I auto park 😂

This note is for any Pennsylvania residents who have just taken delivery or are expecting delivery soon . . . I took delivery March 28 (no swag, ) and waited a couple of weeks before asking "Any idea when the title/paperwork is coming ?" and noting to the DA that I'm certain there is a finite amount of time that PA allows to get your vehicle titled and registered in the State. After a couple follow ups I was told "it's been escalated and will be sent out today". A full week later (4/19) documents arrived via FedEx FIRST overnight ( super expensive - guarantees 8:00 am delivery). I know there are other threads detailing how long it has taken to get the paperwork - and sounds like my experience is typical, if not a bit faster than some others (although admittedly I think those were mostly earlier deliveries when LUCID was handling the process to completion with the local DMV's for each customer).

The main reason for this post is that LUCID's DMV dept seems unaware of the requirements for PA, so the title I rec'd was incompletely filled out (and also not notarized). AAA (where we went to have the title/registration interface completed) informed me exactly what needed to be done by highlighting the areas to be filled out and call out the notary requirements (stamped/signed in 2 places). I took a photo of the marked up title and emailed back to my DA - she got it to the DMV team and I had a revised title THE NEXT DAY (again, FIRST delivery $$$). However, they STILL didn't fill it out per the instructions, and while the notarizations were on the document, they were not placed in correct "boxed in" areas requiring notarizations. So . . . presumably next week I will get "round 3" -- hopefully filled out perfectly.

Clearly - the DMV team missed some obvious stuff on the 2nd go around (like filling out the odometer section that we had highlighted to them). I don't know if AAA was being overly sensitive around the position of the notarizations or if the PA DMV is really that picky . . . but I do think anyone waiting on a title for a PA delivery should 1) be proactive with customer care in making sure the DMV team has learned how to fill out the title appropriately, and 2) lower their expectations about having it correct on the first try. I will do a follow up on this thread when round 3 arrives this week.

I just finished going through my own registration headache for CT.
1. I went to register the my car the 2nd week I had it. I needed to get a vin verification form which if I hadn't watched "out of spec Dave" I wouldn't have known about it until I got to the DMV. When I did go they informed me I needed the title or certificate of origin, which I wasn't given at delivery. So like you I had to wait 2 weeks to get the form.
2. I made copies of everything that the checklist lucids DMV department said I would need. I rescheduled for another DMV visit (I wisely booked a 2nd time for any surprises/issues). When I got to the agent they wouldn't do the process because I had brought a copy of the certificate of origin (turns out the DMV doesn't like copies only originals during the third and final attempt they wanted my original vin verification form instead of the copy, even though the copy was able to be scanned). Before leaving I asked the person if there was anything else u would need besides the original certificate they said no. So I had someone from home drive all the way to the DMV to bring the Lucid packet with the certificate, for the backup appointment.
3. This time I got to the window and handed over what the Lucid check list said I needed and the original certificate. The next issue was they didn't know what a Lucid was and if it was in their system as being a registered Dealer that could do business in CT. I had to tell them that it was like registering a Tesla how ever that worked. Then they said I needed a Bill of sale from the Dealership, also they don't register cars if there is still a payment due as an aside. Luckily the supervisor took the paperwork provided and agreed to register the car so 5hrs lost plus an hour from the first attempt.
Moral of the story if financing use the BOA option that way Lucid deals with the whole registration process and then switch the loan to your preferred bank of choice.

Just curious to know when you guys got delivery, did the car have all the seat covers, steering covers, and the protection film on the screen ? Or were they all taken off before delivery

All taken off.

All the seats were uncovered, but the screens still had the plastic film on them.

Mine didn't have any covering or plastic film. Is there a reason you're asking?

Hi folks, maybe someone here can help me.
I'm scheduled to pick up this coming Friday in Seattle. Sent in my financing info already. I have had 4 deliver advisors over the last month.

My current advisor is now out of office till May, I've called HQ no one picks up and I need to confirm some things ahead of Friday. Anyone know how to get a hold of folks at Lucid?

Call the showroom where your advisor was based.

I mean I just saw Edmunds unboxing. Like everything was intact. But when I got mine. Nothing was on it. My delivery was on a rainy day. So I'd have prefered if all the plastic on the seats and carpets stayed for a few days at least, at least like a new car feel. The car had done about 20 miles only. Ihadn't prepared with ordering mats and stuff before hand. So, and also no blankets or bags like others mentioned. And after I asked they said they had stopped it but gave a water bottle. Rest of the process was great in explaining and help setting up the car. However, I realized on my drive. There was probably no windshield wiper fluid and was kinda disappointed at that.
