UX 2.5 OTA Update

Yikes. Maybe before the 2.5 update! 5-2-2 would be way too much for me now.
My settings are now all flat 0-0-0.
Agreed. And if you’re setting it to 5-2-2, just do 3-0-0. Boosting everything doesn’t actually help anything unless the Eq is really weird (which maybe this one is). I may find myself with all negative values just to keep it from being too loud and distorted

I have the OTA update and the tape fix and it sounds great!

Sounds good to me, too,
Haven't had the TSC fix yet, though.
You and others have mentioned the Borksi settings of 5-2-2, but my equalizer setting doesn't have any numerical scale, just the slide.
Is my car missing something?

Auto lock when walking away from
my car seemed to have stopped working. Not sure if it's related to 2.5

Everything was working fine since I've received the 2.5 update last week, but tonight while waiting at EA charger, I think my rear camera is broken? Front camera view works, but rear camera view is just a blank screen. I've tried logo reset but to no avail... Texted CS and waiting for their reply now...

Got the update .. at higher volumes and playing bass heavy songs gave me a distorted buzz type sound from around the passenger area...which is easily fixed by lowering the volume..it almost sounded like loose tape hanging around a subwoofer...but I've had the tsc applied..so do I live with the buzzy tape sound or take it in to service? Not sure if it's a defect per se but that's why I'm asking here...thoughts appreciated

I have the same issue but on the driver side, my service RO from last month shows the TSC was applied but I have a feeling it was just marked as applied and not actually done. Perhaps the techs assumed the TSB was the same as the TSC so they just marked it completed since they did the TSB last year? I'm working on getting a service appointment to get it addressed.

You're not missing anything. 1 unit = one tap. So you tap five times = 5 units.

I run mine all in negative.

This morning - it fixed itself...

If you are hearing rumbling on louder bass tracks, it's possible that's your rear shelf, or some other part of the car shaking, not your speakers.

I just had the tape service performed this morning, and I can confirm the audio has not changed at all for me. So if you are in this boat, or you are wondering about whether or not you are on the "new" sound, don't panic. I have a theory on what's going on.

When the tape service is performed, it's a simple physical procedure. The service person does not in any way inform the car's computer that it now has the correct tape. Instead, the service is logged in Lucid's service database, and that's it.

Sometime after this, your car is added to a list somewhere of cars that have had the service performed. No one seems to know how long that takes. But it is not immediate. And even if it were, the car still wouldn't flip over to the new audio right away, because it isn't getting any sort of push notification to that effect.

The car won't know whether or not the service has been performed until it pings the server with the list of completed cars and gets the okay. That check only seems to happen upon reboot from a deep sleep. In other words, the first deep sleep reboot AFTER the service has been properly logged in the correct database is when the audio switch will get flipped.

So be prepared to wait until the next day, a few days, or even a week later. There doesn't seem to be a set time.

My understanding is you'll know for sure it happened, because all the car's alert sounds will be extremely loud on that first reboot after the flip. If you haven't experienced that yet, there's a good chance you don't have the new audio yet.

That's my theory anyway. I'll report back as soon as I'm sure I actually have the new audio in my car.

Perhaps a logo reset will cause the car to ping the server and enable the audio tweaks?

I'm not sure this is a sure fire way to tell if the new audio is switched on yet. After I received 2.5, all my alert sounds were set high as you mention, but I don't believe I have received the enhanced capability yet. I don't notice any significant difference in the bass response. This is consistent with the fact that my car has not had the TSC applied, and I did receive the email that said "A minor audio hardware adjustment is required in your car to enable the next-generation Surreal Sound Pro." But maybe the all the alert sounds will be extremely loud again when the new bass gets switched on.

You will not notice a substantial (if any) difference until after both. But then it is substantial.
It is more substantial than I thought. Music sounded better, especially bass. But the navigation voice now sounds processed and not human. And the turn signal click sounds strange.

Yes, finally, someone noticed the signal's new sound! :) I thought I'm the only one and going slightly mad ... At a minimum it is louder, but it might be a different sound all together, it clicks louder and hollower somehow. Not that I care much, but it is different.

Definitely a different turn signals sound was updated. Doesn’t sound very luxurious with the high pitch. I think they need to take a listen at turn signals sound from other luxury OEM, low pitch and serene sound that doesn’t stand out or bother you, especially when waiting at a red light and all you hear is that new crude turn signal 😪

Yes, it's the hollowness that sounds off. And the navigation directions should sound like they are coming from somebody who is talking, not like somebody sitting behind a thin sounding microphone in a live room with lots of reflections. It doesn't sound in phase.

Well we have progressed. We used to talk endlessly about failed motors, body panel misalignments & other critical issues, but now we’re talking about turn signal sounds and navigation voices. Lucid is making considerable progress! 😉

Has anybody else noticed a lack of regeneration on the highway now, too? I've got High regen set, as always, but now when I let off whilst on the highway, it's only a very gradual deceleration, once I'm down to about 45mph or below, it's back to normal. I wish they didn't change that, because now I actually have to use my brakes sometimes.
