Song Recommendations to get the best out of the Air sound system!

It is better for some and not for others. Tis the way of sound systems, very subjective. Though, I do agree that more settings would be better! Then @copper could come and tell me how to set my system up...again.
True, Some might not like the low end thump but give us the option to control the subwoofer to allow the system to work for everyone's preference.. Right now they only give us a Bass, Mid, Treble adjustment which is lacking.

Tesla has the right idea and hopefully Lucid can give us more in an update.

Still wish they would give us a better equalizer with more frequency adjustments and a subwoofer separate adjustment because this system is still lacking on the low end. For a $4000 option I really expected better.
I don't understand. The bass on tracks meant to hit hard is almost too much at the +2 0 -6 recommendation. Are you playing tracks initially meant and composed for a heavy bass throughout?

I have my bass as +4 but the bass frequency adjustment is probably in the 300-400mz range. The bass level adjustment I would want would be in the lower range like 50-80hz. The Equalizer just needs more frequency adjustments and a separate subwoofer level.

Fair point. I had my bass at +6 but went back to +4. Some tracks blast bass extremely loud and almost blow my ears off. Go to any of the Talking Heads Atmos tracks , such as Pysco Killer , and the bass reverberates very intensely.

I personally love the sound system . For those extremely savvy folks on the thread, how likely or possible is it that Lucid could further customize the equalizer at this point?
Seems to be a high priority for some individuals.

Lucid could absolutely provide a more detailed equalizer; that would just be a software addition.

Tangent to this, does anyone know if Lucid has implemented speed compensation for the volume? I find myself reaching for the volume a lot while driving around town.

Not yet...slow down!

Can you search for a track or Artist in Tidal and have it show songs in ATMOS? Apologies if this has been asked before. I've gone through the thread and saw mention of finding Atmos tracks in playlists under ATMOS in the search area but if I'm understanding you can't just search by artist or track name?

Thanks for all the great track suggestions! I would add "We Belong" By Pat Benatar?

The last time I did it, I had to enter something like Pat Benatar Atmos to find the atmos track

You can put in artist name followed by Atmos and that should work.

If that doesn’t work I sometimes go to artist’s top tracks and then scroll until I find.

Who knew you could broaden your musical awareness in an automotive forum.
I’d go so far as to say the car itself has reawakened some previously dormant musical interests, by reminding me things don’t have to sound flat and lifeless (Spotify Free = 👎) and you can actually hear many things as they were intended to be heard in the studio.

Funny my home setup is inferior to what the lucid can do, so yeah I don’t go nuts with the audiophile stuff anymore.
Dude, I spent two hours sitting in my car in the freezing garage, listening to plain vanilla FM jazz station. I had no idea.
I was that guy with the Steriophile subscription, the hand-built tube traps in the corners of the dedicated room, the Helmholtz resonators, I probably spent as much on gear and one-sided double speed master test pressings as this car cost. Then a hearing test showed me I was enjoying the pretty hardware and not so much the music, as the range of the system far exceeded what my ears could detect. Not only that = one ear is more def than the other, so sound staging is weird.

OMG ... this is the best listening room I have ever not heard. Thank you for all your audio input! I'm doing Tidal today.

By the way = the bass (based only on the FM I listened to) is exactly right. equalizers are a mortal sin to audiophiles. trust your sound engineer. This is a thing with audiophiles: there are the golden ears and the rockers... each have their preferences...I am not immune to overblown bass ... you see that 18-inch Velodyne in the corner ?

One last thing: all of you have excellent taste in music, and I can see we all grew up in the golden age. you folk keep hitting me up ... "oh yea...i forgot about that song...." Riders on the storm ... Joni Mitchel ... Art Blakeley ...

It was 50 degrees Amerikan at 6:30 AM.... going to - 5 Amerikan tonight. It's been raining for 30 hours. Not gonna drive anywhere.

Gonna sit in my Lucid and work through Bunnys' list. All day. Thanks everyone. Thanks Bunny, you freak.

If you guys really want to get your groove on with great bass ; check this out.
Rick James : Give it to me Baby.🤣🤣

Saw Rick in 82, kick ass show! Too bad him and Charlie are gone, these Chappelle, Charlie Murphy True Story skits still tear me up from laughing so hard.

audiophile and equalizer are not to be used together. one way to instantly spot a low-fidelity system is if it even has an equalizer.

the mix is done by the sound engineer, not the listener. If you have a really terrible room without any treatments then yes. The environment inside the car is known and fixed. The acoustic designers have already tweaked the audio...there is no need for an equalizer. It's only there because people like to think they know better. They do not.

Also, first time listening last night...I was having trouble with the volume = not the range I needed. Found out that in the Audio section there is a master volume (and a phone volume) slider and it was only half way up. Moving it louder made the steering wheel thumb control much better.

Dude you are so right on. I sold off all my audio gear and turned my listening room into a living room a dozen years ago. Been listening to podcasts pretty much all the time until last night...when I just went into the car to see how the cruse control works, turned on the local jazz...and lost two hours visiting heaven. I am thrilled that I can enjoy such stunning fidelity in my car any time I wish, without bothering anyone. Seriously going to get back into the music I need because of this amazing car.

hey ... are we going to post photos of audio gear porn? i bet some of these rich boomers have/had some awesome rigs.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but I suspect many will push back. People have their preferences, and they seldom line up with the many professionals I've spent time hanging with in various music studios. Why trust the people who spent their whole lives studying this stuff?

I've argued so many times with folks about HomePods not having EQ. Because they shouldn't have EQ. There are supercomputers in each one re-balancing the frequencies 60 times per second, as several microphones measure and analyze the physics of the room and the current position of the device. Trust the sound engineer, indeed. This little wonder is infinitely more equipped to figure out whether there is enough bass than your ears.

You are welcome sir! You may even appreciate the implied themes of the music curation on that list after Knight Rider. I start with impending death and work backwards…
