Nope!Thank you all so much!
Does balance not work in Tidal?
Does in 2.0! (and it always worked for Tidal, just not Atmos-encoded tracks)Nope!

Misread, if you run ATMOS track, balance option setting won’t be available. It is available all apps and song except Tidal ATMOS song playing.Thank you all so much!

It actually works in 2.0 even on Atmos tracks, I think.Misread, if you run ATMOS track, balance option setting won’t be available. It is available all apps and song except Tidal ATMOS song playing.
Interesting. So theoretically you can make an Atmos track play predominately from front or back, etc, on 2.0?It actually works in 2.0 even on Atmos tracks, I think.
I wouldn't, but it isn't greyed out anymore, haha.Interesting. So theoretically you can make an Atmos track play predominately from front or back, etc, on 2.0?
That’s blasphemy . Don’t do it.
?????I wouldn't, but it isn't greyed out anymore, haha.
You can move the slider around, but the sound does not change. So, I don't believe it does.It actually works in 2.0 even on Atmos tracks, I think.
Hm, I admit I hadn’t actually tried it haha. So I guess it’s there for you to adjust for regular tracks, and they decided there’s no reason you can’t adjust it just because you’re playing an Atmos track. You can move the slider around, but the sound does not change. So, I don't believe it does.
Have you tried equalizer adjustment? Now that 2.0 is out for some folks, I’m not that impressed with Tidal Atmos tracks I’ve been listening to in terms of sound stage and richness. They frankly sound kinda thin and narrow. I’m mostly talking about Fleetwood Mac and Talking Heads but 1960s and 1970s recordings remixed for Atmos. (There’s a “decades” set of playlists on Tidal.)
It’s hard to pinpoint why but it could be…
- Issues with the audio system in the Lucid
- Issues with the recording
- Issues with my ears
I’m betting on #3 but would appreciate any suggestions for killer Atmos tracks that can really show what the system can and should do. Also, has anyone found any test tracks for checking speaker operations on Tidal?
@bunnylebowski, maybe you could take a listen to my system this weekend and compare with yours? I’ll try INXS and the Doors on the system later today.

I think many not all songs need to be ATMOS, some are just fine in Hi-Fi.
Yeah, I was playing with that. The bass is there but it's not overwhelming. In general, I'd say that the Lucid sound system is accurate, not bombastic.
There is bass for this song, just not all from the floor. But I think that’s just how it is recorded in ATMOS. I really like ATMOS version. In my experience , some songs in Atmos are mind blowing whereas other are very good.
If you want to experience the full potential of Atmos , I would recommend listening to Take on Me , by Ah-Ha. It’s a pretty new selection . I shared this recommendation with Bunny , and he was pretty impressed.
If this doesn’t sound good, get your system checked.

A ha! (See what I did there.) Yeah, that track really does sound good! Still going to ask @bunnylebowski to check my system.
Funny my home setup is inferior to what the lucid can do, so yeah I don’t go nuts with the audiophile stuff anymore. He is the audiophile extraordinaire.
Yeah we’ll compare on the meetup Saturday. Put air traffic controller ear protection on your dog!A ha! (See what I did there.) Yeah, that track really does sound good! Still going to ask @bunnylebowski to check my system.
