Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

A better question would be what the “writer” of the article meant by it. This source is notorious for blending info seen on social media and being pure speculation. Wouldn’t trust it honestly.

If you find it elsewhere from a more credible source, then we can wonder more about it

The phrases were in quote marks in the article, which were said to have come from Rawlinson's LinkedIn page (a site of which I'm not a member). And, frankly, the phrasing is very similar to the way I've seen Rawlinson drop hints in video interviews.

Blame the US government for failing to hold Volkswagen accountable for the abysmal network they delivered as part of the diesel scandal.

For years, people had been complaining, yet Pete Buttigieg appeared more concerned with planes and airline cancellations and outages than with urging Volkswagen to rectify the situation or face another fine.

Ford, General Motors, and other automakers had no choice but to comply. We can only hope that Elon Musk will eventually make a mistake by dictating something on the network that enrages so many people that the government will force the network’s sale due to the monopoly he holds.
I blame Detroit, they made bad EVs , unable to compete with Hyundai, Tesla and decided, who wait, let’s go NACS and that will make up for it…

It definitely looks like aurora green from multiple tweets surfacing.

Any ideas what might Rawlinson mean by this?

"Amid the announcement [of Gravity production start], Lucid’s CEO teased that 'additional advances we have made' will be shared 'soon' — 'I believe Lucid Gravity is a groundbreaking vehicle. It offers a previously impossible combination of space for seven passengers and their luggage, and more than 440 miles of range. You can order yours now at our website. I look forward to soon sharing additional advances we have made. Watch this space.'"

Thank you mods and @Joe for not allowing that rubbish website to be directly linked here. Much appreciated 👏🏻

Sounds very much like what @borski described from his ride in a Gravity on a slalom run. Amazing.
It was the same course at the factory that @borski was on, I will share the fresh tire marks later today.

I'm still curious, though. Can someone who has a Linked account check Rawlinson's posts to see if he actually said anything like that?

Nada 👎

Thanks much.

So, back to my original question. Any idea as to what "additional advances" Rawlinson might have been referring? And was it a reference to the Gravity or to something further down the line (since it's in a paragraph about the Gravity)?

Dream Edition?
More power/range than expected?
Midsize?
Only Peter knows for sure.

I'm really confused why, on a day suffused with excitement about the Gravity entering production, he's throwing out teasers that only sow confusion. Is there another shoe to drop on the Gravity? Should we wait to order? Is technology coming to a later product that will only render something about the Gravity obsolete? This "I know a secret, but I'm not telling" communication strategy is a mystery to me . . . as is much of Lucid marketing.

Longer range is my guess. Similar to the Pure getting 5.0 from 4.6. mi/kWh.

I can only dream.

I think you are reading to deep, in my simplistic view it is that Lucid is always moving the technology forward. Gravity production is one step but there will be more.

Maybe, but it struck me as odd to try to move the conversation beyond the current Gravity on the very day the Gravity entered production. Remember that Gravity order-holders still don't know the range effects of the wheel/tires or suspension options, when one of the colors will be available, or -- as far as I know -- what the leasing and financing options will be.

Nor do they know anything about what the differences between the Grand Touring and Touring will be, something that many posts on this forum indicate is a very big deal to potential customers.

Scratch that. Just noticed this was posted 4 hours ago. Thought yesterday.

We have banned this source due to it being a consistent source of misinformation and/or rumors. It is not a credible source. LinkedIn is. :)

I don’t know what Peter meant by that, but I think it sows excitement, not confusion. You could read it either way.

Positive news! Stock popped a little today, placed an order last night. My average price is now $3.16! Getting closer to breaking even! Lol. I’m holding for awhile, so in no rush.
