Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Did they forgot to put the frunk seat or this is something we need to buy in Lucid store? Need to wait on more info if this is optional or included with GT.
It’ll be an accessory for sure

If I remember correctly, it was identified as a separate purchase by one of the video reviewers at the L.A. Auto Show.

It's fairly sizable. I think Gravity buyers (such as me) who don't anticipate ever using it would not want to have to deal with its taking up storage space in the car or home.

This ^. Every time I see it I wonder where that's supposed to stow. And if I'd ever use it...

Another video of the Gravity running the slalom course. Don't know about the earlier one, but this one was with the car in "smooth" mode.

Yowza.

Yeah. It’s absurd. I don’t have any other way of putting it.

Absurd works for me.

Any idea whether a Lucid employee was driving or a press person?

Last sentence of video title "They call it the vomit comet for a reason". If "vomit comet" can stick, Gravity might draw a younger demographic. Depending upon how young they are, they may not be able to buy it, but it's a start!

My youngest son, age 34, heard about Lucid through the U-Drags YouTube videos. He saw the Sapphire racing a Plaid. His comment when he saw the $250k price: "No way I'm paying that much until your granddaughter is out of college".

Videos of Gravity on slaloms against competing SUVs might be a thing! 😀 Gravity against Escalade IQ in a mock corporate executive escape.

I'm wondering if the car in this video is a final production car and not one of the release candidate Gravities?

There is a protective film still on the upper screen, something that I doubt would be on a release candidate car that will probably be sent to a crusher before long.

They are buying the screen from a supplier. Contract compliance likely requires screen ship with protective film.

True. But if you watch the video closely, you'll see that the film has creases and wrinkles in it that seem to indicate it has been taken off and put back on haphazardly. I just wonder why anybody would have bothered to do that with a release candidate car and why the film wouldn't have been removed for test purposes, as one of the purposes of a release candidate car is to validate that the vehicle holds up in normal use. I would think you would want the screen unprotected, as it would be in the hands of an owner. Are all the pixels functioning? Is the resolution and color accuracy what is expected? Does the screen scratch too easily?

Lucid has definitively said that the two charging port solution will not make it into production.

Thank you for that information. I’ve a lucid home charger, will I still be able to use it to charge the gravity. I’m not well versed with all these different charging ports, a little more information will help. Thank you

You’ll need an adapter.

There are two types of charging ports, the one that has historically been found on a Teslas and the one that we have on pretty much every other car. It was just a matter of time before one of them became the de facto standard, and it turns out it is the one on Teslas. Over the next few years I’d imagine that everybody will have that one. It is called NACS. On the Lucid Air and many other electric cars to date, we have the CCS port. It’s easy to buy an adapter to change one to the other. When you get your Gravity, I’d imagine Lucid will supply an adapter or make one readily available to purchase.

Just search for Tesla to J1772 adapter. They are readily available and I think at one time Tesla supplied them with their cars. You will want this adapter no matter what charger you have at home since many level 2 chargers are J1772.

how are they charging this at a non-magic dock supercharger without an adapter @Bobby ?
I’m not sure if they’re charging or just parked there… But the Gravity has an NACS port. So, the standard Tesla cable will fit right in. Whether we will actually do anything remains to be seen. Currently, Lucid is not on the Tesla – preferred list. It is possible that that particular car is a test mule for a future agreement? We can only dream.
