Trying to charge at home for the very first time and using the traditional 3 prong plug. The car has been in Preparing to Charge phase for the past two hours. Anyone have any recommendations?

I don't know what you mean by the "traditional three prong plug"? Are you using a 110 outlet or a 240?

120 volt charging can be extermemly slow, or may not work at all. You'll want to at least install a 240V 14-50 outlet, if your local electrical code allows it without a GFCI circuit breaker. Or hardwire a charging adapter like the Chargepoint Home Flex, or Lucid's upcoming unit.

Try resetting the car if the charge doesn't start. Sounds like you are using the supplied charger.

Get your key card and lock the car and stay away for 10 min. They try to charge again and see if it works. If not, I'd contact customer care. Also, check to ensure your charging cable is plugged in all the way, both into the wall and into itself.
