Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

29 miles, car hasn’t paired with any phone. he didn’t even drive any and wanted to sell. Is it really used market that lucrative?
It's slowing down now apparently.

Can’t wait for that Earnings Call. Should be so enlightening and that accent 😂.
The woman does a better job at answering questions than Peter does. He rambles and just repeats the same stuff over and over again that never really answers the question. Hers are still very guarded but she at least gives out little bits on information related to the actual question.

Flyover...

I don’t think that one car hauler can hold all those Airs!
I think with your F250 and mine, we can carry 6 Air back to Texas to get things moving faster. 😂

I’m glad Lucid is looking out for all of us. That’s great effort at expense of their business bottomline.

🤦‍♂️ And I’m driving a 21” with a little sidewall cut all these time being a high risk. I went to Discount Tires and was told twice should be ok. 😞

It seems 19” is really practical in the city, but that 21” Aero blades is so damn good looking to me.
I am also with you on the bypassing practicality of 19s for the aesthetics of 21s and sure hoping I don’t regret it.🫣

My daily driver is a sporty car with wheels I love, so I am willing to give up a little range for a good looking wheel. Now the possibility of being stranded from a bad tire does make me nervous and question my decision on this one.

The 21s are definitely better looking

FWIW based on my current order configuration and seeing others' VIN assignments in the tracker, but not mine - it does appear that changing a car's configuration does change the order priority date to the new configuration's change date.
It does appear you are correct, as I am one of the recipients of what should have been your VIN (White/Mojave/21s), I saw a post where I think you changed wheel size but you would think since it is still White/Mojave you would have been in the July 5-July 21 group of Stellar Whites receiving VINs.

Well my car completed its journey to Null Island (see last nights post) and as of this morning was back comfortably resting in Casa Grande (even though it still appears 180 degrees rotated). I am just guessing some software update push made it echo 0,0 coordinates for a bit.

Then my curiousity arises again late this afternoon, and behold my car has woken up (no longer asleep Zzz) and is in Park, lost some charge (was 258 mi), warmed up a lil (had been 95), and appears unlocked, and most importantly has been moved to what may be a car hauler slot.

So now I am even more curious so I watch for a lil bit, and things happen, loses a couple more miles of charge, warms another degree, and gets locked, hmmm I say.

Now I have to keep watching, will it soon start moving out of the lot with all its peeps that it has shared stories with for the last week, "Grey, you should see how big the waves are at Null Island". Nope, you got too much information already, vehicle offline. :D

Only time will tell if Luci is just playing with me or are deliveries actually starting to happen again after this week long pause of missing car haulers (or a mandated delivery stoppage as discussed in another thread, or a possible 21" wheel issue mentioned here - my car is 21s).

They wouldn’t want you to open frunk or trunk while in transit to damage not-yet-your car. It’s very interesting that you were able to connect remotely. They are probably doing some system check up remotely and you were lucky to sneaky in when they were performing maintenance.

I think it is actually a bug in the app, I have been able to see these details since mid last week but only upon first logging in, if I just hide the Luci app and then return I then get the "Welcome "Empty Nest", Your Lucid Air will arrive soon." screen with no options to do anything else. But if you simply logout and log back in again you get the details once again, and only while the app stays on top and never hidden or closed. I am Android so maybe that plays into it as well.

Latest update, the car is back online and back asleep (Zzz) but behold, it is indeed on its way to sunny Southern CA, the excitement returns. Now the question becomes will the DA call me to tell me it has left the factory and to start arranging financing as indicted they would. Updates to follow I'm sure.

The app will be intermittent up until the day you pick the car up. I could see what was going on with mine a week before picking it up. The mobile app stopped working at some point but the Apple Watch app could still provide status updates.
